NY Yankees 2025 Season Thread (Hal is cheap, Brian is dumb)

I'll take this win. Jumped on the opposing pitcher early and won the game early...too rare in my book.

Will Warren...sometimes I gotta remind myself to have patience with the young dudes. Got himself into trouble in the 5th and Boone let him stay and I thought it was the right decision. If it's not going to cause the team to lose, you gotta give him a chance to get good experience.

Jazz is on fire...nice. Guy is so up and down.

Damn...we gave a nice catcher to the Red Sox.

Hope Volpe is okay.

Judge...not gonna lie. I thought the chase for .400 was over once his BA got into .380ish, and somehow it's at .397 again. It's so amazing what he's doing.

Wells was supposed to be the offensive talent and he is hitting .216!

If you score 7 runs against a team's ace you should be able to win.

Boone should have pulled Yarbrough after he gave up 6 runs. There was no business leaving him in there to put the game out of reach.

Like I've said before, any half decent hitting team can easily smoke us. The Dodgers series and this series is proof that we do not have the pitching to win a title. The reason why we're even in first place is because most of the teams in baseball that we beat have terrible lineups. You're not going to go very far with Rodon as your second best pitcher, a journeyman in Yarbrough as your number 3, Warren as your number 4, a bullpen who is incapable of keeping you in the game and a manager like Boone.

Because they actually approach us like it's a rivalry. While our team thinks they can just show up, when they get punched they fold up like a cheap tent typical of a Boone managed team

Can't lie, didn't expect Warren to pull that one off. That second inning was scary. Two on via singles, no outs. He gets a clutch double play, walks the next guy. 2-0 on the next guy, and then strikes him out after a really long at-bat. Settles down, pitches around a triple later, comes back after a rain delay. Good for him. If it was last year, I feel like we'd be down 5-0.

Got to rest Judge for most of the day, which is big.

Can't complain about this one at all.
