Tom is a good man by all accounts. I hope as a person he will be okay. Yes he got a golden parachute but for someone who basically lived in the gym, I hope he finds something to fulfill him.

We don't know much about him except he's single from a lack of time because of his single-minded devotion to basketball. I hope he's got friend, good things to do, and finds a good landing somewhere his incredible BBall knowlege will be appreciated.

That said, I'm hoping the next coach can do a few things he wasn't able to.

Best Knicks coach in 25 years, without a doubt. Basically the same W/L % as Red Holzman and not far off from JVG.

Thibs definitely turned the culture around here. He actually got the Knicks playing defense and relevant again. This franchise hasn't had this kind of stability since the 90s.

Fun fact. Thibs was a coach on the Knicks the last 3 times the Knicks made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
