He's expiring $50 million. You'd be nuts not to trade for him. He erases KATs albatross in 1 trade and is a better player still. He can pass and get Brunson open spot ups, which Brunson has shown to be elite at (he just has nobody to set him up in NY).

Think about this. A LeBron for KAT swap would mean we'd only have $100 million on the cap for Summer 2026. And you are better this year.

I mean I hate LeFlop and think he's a douche but you'd be delusional not to trade for him, and the only real match on salary is KAT.

The reporting has generally indicated the front office was interested in how our coaching candidates would utilize KAT, as Leon went all out getting him. So it's not likely they want to trade him for an expiring to get rid of him. The likelihood is they believe KAT will prosper under Brown. I'm not sure they want Lebron, but if they do, they may be more inclined to include Mikal, Mitch, and others in the deal. Whether or not you want us to trade KAT, do you think Leon wants to ?

There is no possible world where Lebron comes to the knicks and they get better. It's literally impossible. They would have to move AT LEAST ONE of their superstars who are in their prime, for a guy whose defense isn't anywhere near where it used to be who is in his last year in the NBA.

Unless this dude literally comes here for free, there is no chance.

The coaching interview included asking how the coach would use our highest paid player. Wow. What a revelation. Journalism and reporting.

Leon wants to enrich CAA and continue draining Dolan's wallet for as long as possible.

We went all out to get KAT is a bit rich, we traded Randle and DDV. We went all out to get Bridges.

Regardless the Lakers would be insane to do this deal and take on KATs albatross, and now the Ayton signing means they probably won't go in for a center anyway.

OG plays great defense.

How is Steph Curry's defense? How about Luka? Are they superstars?

He turned down the Knicks in his prime in 2010. Why would I want a washed up 41 year old LeBron?

On a buyout? We'd win the title, so yeah.

OG plays great defense.

How is Steph Curry's defense? How about Luka? Are they superstars?

a) who are our "super stars", OG is a super star now? If so we're so far off on that definition I don't know where to start.
b) if Jalen Brunson is our "super star" (at least he has the strongest claim) does he play great defense?
c) if you think KAT is a super star your bar is far lower than mine
d) Steph Curry's defense is better than Brunson or KAT and he has 4 rings and is a top 5 player of all time. Even if he never walked back on defense his entire career he'd be better than any Knicks since Walt Frazier.

Your claim is LeBrons defense is waning. I agree. But it's not as bad as the defense our two best offensive players play and his contract is so much better that KATs and he's a superior player to KAT.

No idea what Luka has to do with anything. But his defense is bad, but not as bad as KAT. He's made a final with a garbage roster.

Yeah OG is a Super Star. Hard to deny it based on his contract and defensive production. One of the biggest factors in +/-.

This argument is miserable. You don't trade any of those guys in their prime for a washed up Lebron.

Yeah it's a fact that not all super stars in the NBA play good defense. That doesn't change it.

By your logic there is no such thing as a super star. Look at these guys contracts.

Lebron isn't going to make a difference here. LOL @ Steph Curry being a good defender.

The point was Luka is a guy that is a super star yet doesn't play defense. Garbage roster??

I have nothing against Bron. He is a winner, has one of the highest BBIQ's in history and doesn't get the credit he's earned. However, do not want him
on this team. Let Brunson grow on this team.

Just because this fascinates me. If OG is a "superstar" what is SGA? or Jokic? Also a superstar? Is Derrick White a "superstar?

I guess it depends how you define super star. I think there is a difference between super star and generational talent.
