I just joined and I've been a knicks fan since the 90s. Was very excited to finally see us go deep into the playoffs. The coaching thing was a bit of a head scratcher but I am glad Thibs is gone. Not sure about Brown though.
Now that Boston and are both toast for next season, who Stands in the way of the Knicks going to the finals?
Clev is good but beatable.
I think ATL and ORL have both upgraded a lot.
ATL has KP, Alexander=Walker and Kennard. Are they good enough to beat us? I have doubts about KP and Trae fit. KP didnt like playing with Luca. Not sure what to expect?
Orlando added Bane. I think they may even get to 47-50 wins
Thoughts??
I think you should...

and

welcome ballsack...uhhh I mean ballboy.
yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the east, I shall fear no suckas, for Brunson is with me.

Re: New here - Checking in about ECF challengers to the Knicks?
For the first time in my life, I'm gonna walk around in a Knicks jersey swinging my dick around. Couldn't in the 90's, I was too young and there was this demon that didn't let anybody win.....and we won't get into the last 25 years.
I believe if somebody is gonna beat us, it's gonna be from the west.....I can live with that all things considering. This is gonna be fun.
Orlando...Detroit...Atlanta....man **** these kids. We are ready to go off. I thought we had it in January when we played beautiful basketball, looking like the best offensive team of all time, until they figured out Josh is garbage and can be guarded with a center and that was that for Karl's playmaking. Those cuts and dishes to Bridges and OG were gone once it became 4 on 5 after January, and this coach that was obsessed with Josh couldn't find it in himself to send him to the bench for Mitch or Duece.
We will be unlocked again....I'm confident.

We have 12 players on the team. We have less depth now.
Brunson
Bridges
OG
KAT
Mitch
Hart
Yabu
Deuce
Pac Daddi
Hukporti
Clarkson
Kolek
Nnaji - Is he on contract?
<<Shamet>>
Depending on who the starting 5 is, we may be able to put in a coherent second unit-
Brunson-Bridges-Hart-OG-KAT
Clarkson-Deuce-Pac Daddi-Yabu-Mitch
Only 12 deep like you said, but if we get Shamet (I hope we do) we may have enough scoring for the second unit to hold it's own. Not clear on what the situation is with Nnaji
But I'd prefer to see OG play the 3 and Hart to the bench, then the real question becomes who plays the 4/5 spots?
Brunson-Mikal-OG with KAT-Mitch, Yabu-KAT, KAT-Huk, Nnaji-KAT? None of those look great but to keep enough defense on the floor KAT-Mitch makes more sense, though it didn't look so good in the playoffs.
That's the main reason, I am not very happy with our offseason, we failed to get a starting caliber defensive 4. I love Josh Hart but he is not a starter and OG is better off as a 3, IMHO. If Nanji or Huk an truly develop into that guy then I'll be happy. I love Mitch as well, but I don't think a championship contending should rely on him.
You're not happy with this team...what are you, 12?

You're looking for a perfect team, my friend, one you can go to sleep at night thinking yeah we got this, like Heat fans did in the summer of 2010.....not gonna happen. But this is the best chance we've had, or I've seen, in the last.......sheeit, somebody do the math.
We are "only 12 deep now". Really? After last year this is the complaint? Knicks fans deserve to fall off those light poles they climb after game one wins.

Thought this was one I saw yesterday (nope) and was going to post "BLUNSON INCOMING" but low and behold, it's the old one with the signature Blunston!

You're not happy with this team...what are you, 12?I'm about to get a Finals tattoo on my 45 year old aching body.

I was pointing out that we only have 12 players on the roster at the time. That's not deeper. Maybe some think JC/Yabusele are better than precious/Cam/Shamet/Wright individually but, we are not deeper at all.
Simmons/Brogdon/Coffey? Can we get any of them for the limited role we are looking to fill? With the limited money we can spend? That's the million dollar question.
I'm ok as long as the HC uses whoever we have on the bench. We got pretty far last season using 7.5 players all year so, we should be better off either way.
We need to push the pace and move the ball more. I don't wanna see Brunson stuck on an island facing full court pressure and barely getting the ball over half court in time. Then ISO into desperation shots with the same lineup going 4 on 5 because Hart doesn't shoot.
Looking forward to see if Brown can unlock the full potential of this roster. True 5 out offense means Hart to the bench and Deuce starting. That alone should get us more wins and make us deeper with better offense and defense in the starting 5. Now when we use the bench we have more offense if Clarkson can score more efficiently. We will have better defense with Mitch and one or two of Deuce/Mikal/OG as well.
Brunson/Clarkson/Kolek
Deuce/Hart/Pac
Mikal/
OG/Yabusele/Diawara
KAT/Mitch/Hulporti
If we get a vet PG that will help even more with depth. Time will tell.

1-CLE
2-NYK
3-ORL
4-DET
is probably your top 4... Just gotta beat ORL and then CLE to get to the finals... the #1 seed would be nice tho...

Re: New here - Checking in about ECF challengers to the Knicks?
Detroit and Orlando probably scare me the most.
And it’s because they are like playing old men in the park who mug you and call it defense, and while you can get injured every game, that style of play can lead to a situation that could derail the whole season. (Especially Det who might have some bad blood)
Hopefully Brown brings some offensive creativity to stop the current formula of throwing big wings on JB, centers on Hart, and more cohesive play between our guys. If we get that then Kat and JB should take less of a beating in those situations.
Now Kindly,
Stfu & Gtfo
