i just had a thought...if deuce becomes a starter then his representation and camp would demand significant pay raise in his next contract; if the knicks intend to keep him, then they would most likely want to do so in a team-friendly manner

You must live in a bubble because many people who aren't from the NYC area would never want to live here. They think that NYC is a cool place to visit, but to live here for an extended period of time....nope. NYC isn't for everyone. Most of us grew up in the area so we're bias.
