That's our core and these guys are likely staying put for various reasons.

Deuce is good, can be traded, but isn't quite a core guy because of his contract situation. He probably won't be traded because there are very few players as good as he is for his contract rate. Deuce is more of a sweetener but we don't have the pot to sweeten.

Clarkson
Yabu
Brogdon
Shamet

These are mercenary signings, unlikely to be traded unless things REALLY don't work out.

Then there are the young guys - Huk, Kolek, Dadiet, McCullar, Diawara, etc.

I don't see where big trades are coming from this year unless we really are looking to flip KAT. I think the team is the team.

Mitch OG and change for Giannis

We don't have enough change.

We might if GIannis demands it. They wont get equal value from any other contender anyway.

I'm so relieved Precious got a deal, even if it's the Heat. I would have been sad if he was out of the NBA

Getting rid of any players on rookie deals while we're in the position we're in would be dumb. I could see if Brogdon could play all 82, but odds are he's going to get hurt and miss 50-60 games.

Yeah. I don’t see the love for Shamet either.

He sucks.

Why are we clamoring to trade a draft pick from last year to keep journeyman Landry Shamet?

Brogdon can stay on. Get Shamet out.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Who is this Giannis? Is it another blow up doll like Kayak?

KAT trade happened Oct 2nd.

So late deals can happen. Not saying its likely at this point but not out of the realm of possibility for LeBron or Giannis.

But will it happen in time for Giannis to be on the flight to UAE?

There is definitely a path to getting Kessler. It might mean giving up Mitch, Deuce, and a combination of Dadiet, Kolek or Huk, along with picks or swaps if we have any.

We would likely take on Kyle Anderson's contract. Defensively, he would be a great fit with our wings, but he can't shoot in the playoffs.

Would Kessler for Mitch & Deuce make the Knicks better?

In the impossible trade version of Kessler for Mitch, would that even make the Knicks better?
I'm not sure. I don't think so.
He'd make them more reliable health wise, and they'd have a younger player locked up (assumes they sign as part of a deal)

But any trade also removes Deuce, the Knicks best POA defender and one of the best 3 point shooters, plus whatever anyone feels about Dadiet or Huk or Kolek
