Eddy Curry's line tonight...Impressive....

Post#1 » by onlyonesharky » Sat Jan 5, 2008 4:10 am

I didn't get to see the game but it looks like he had a great game.
25 pts.
12 reb.
10-12fg
5-6 ft
1ast
2stls
4to

...were the stats padded or did he really dominate?

offensively he dominated first half. 2nd half didn't get the ball as much but was effective when getting it.

he actually looked like he had a intrested in defense and rebounding.

He dominated, there was no stat padding tonight. Offensively he was unstoppable even with the Spurs resident hacker Fabio trying his best to get inside Currys jersey. And he actually picked up his defense in the 2nd half and looked pretty darn good there as well. Shocking? Yep.

He played without Randolph in the game, that's why that line is so impressive.

He wasn't grabbing rebounds. A few literally fell into his hands. He needs to start boxing out and jumping.

His stats weren't padded. Curry, along with the rest of the team, played about as good as they can play.

Keeps it up, ok. Stay hungry? I don't know about that...do we really want him to be hungry all the time?

Same old Curry. He'll have a good game every 20 games, but he's still the same old lazy sac of crap that he's been his entire career. He hasn't turned the corner and never will.

For the most part he actually did earn his rebounds. He even got a few tip outs that didn't show up in the box score.

He did outjump Duncan several times for rebounds and had a really snazzy one handed rebound on the defensive end while boxing out Duncan.

the effort was unquestionably there tonight. will it be there tomorrow night on the 2nd half of a back to back against Yao? I'm not sure if Yao will play or not, but Curry has his work cut out for him.

He played like he did last year if not better. Give him the paint and some shots and he will produce for a high feild goal % everytime. I no i keep saying this but all it takes is getting rid of Randolph

He's always going to be hungry, let's not forget we still have Jerome James and Z-fat to feed.

Yeah Yao will give Curry problems on both ends. Will be interesting.

Yeah. I think it underscores the poor decision to acquire Zach. If he would only step up and show some inclination to sacrifice some of his points for the good of the team. He's so shot-happy. The Knicks have two "black holes" on their team: (1) Zach Randolph; and (2) Jerome James. If those two ever played at the same time, no one else would ever get a shot off. But it would be funny to see.
