Thomas Press Conference

Post#1 » by GuyverADL » Sat Jan 5, 2008 4:05 am

Thomas just said he believed we had great effort but lost due to a lack of intelligence.

For all those who think he doesn't watch games please stop.

He knows Richardson stinks.

We lost because we dont have the talent to play with the Spurs and because of him continuing to play Malik Rose over anyone else on this roster.

Yup, and it only took him 30 games to figure it out. Boy, Isiah sure is a smart one.

Don't be surprised to see him back in the SL next game though..

Well if he really believes Richardson stinks he would bench Stiffy Long Stockings Q for the rest of the season.

Knicks have the dumbest collective players on an NBA roster.

I am not sure where to go with that. I would say Pop has a plan, a system, and the organization gets guys with talent that fit. He also is a commanding presence in the locker room and is very respected by his players. If you play for the spurs you know that you will have a game plan that you need to follow and you know that if you do not follow it you will be replaced by someone who will follow it. Isiah appears to be a day to day coach. I also think that bad teams get motivated to beat the 'good teams' and this has nothing to do with coaching especially if you have coached the team for more than a year.

I am back on the same thread after I already posted. Every player on this team was acquired by THomas. Is he saying he has a dumb team? Teams that play with intelligence are well coached, have chemistry, and orchestrate a game plan. LB knew this roster could not be successful after training camp. Almost three years later and after a year of 'coaching them' Isiah is now realizing that the team he assembled does not compliment each other, he acquired talent with tragic flaws, he handcuffed the team with the salary cap position he put them in, and he acquired players with no thought towards chemistry, and team needs.

Thomas knows this teams deficiencies. He knows we need a real PG and a real SF. He isn't going to come out and say Larry Brown was right.

Someone is going to get traded. I don't like Balkman's "flu like symptoms" something isn't making sense.

Isiah is that you? :o

Oh and by the way, if he does watch the games, I guess he wasnt watching as he assembled this joke of a roster that we have now. ALL OF WHOM WERE HIS HAND PICKED PLAYERS.
Trust but verify.

I get the same feeling about Taz. But whatever, if he feels Chandler is going to be the better version of Taz (maybe not as good defense, but better offense), then so be it. Anyway, I sure hope Zeke starts practicing what he preaches. Because he can't keep talking that way and playing the guys who contribute to our losing.

He needs to make a deal, but unless he solves the Curry-Randolph problem, it'll not make much of an impact. Job one has to be shipping either Curry or Randolph elsewhere.
