What got into Eddy last night?

It was unbelivable. Eddy Curry looked like a monster last night, especially in the fourth quarter. He was defending, grabbing rebounds with authority and even throwing down some vicious dunks.

He owned Duncan for a good stretch. Duncan kept trying to post him up, but to no avail, and then Eddy kept getting boards over him.

If he can do it against the 2nd best PF of all time, why can't he do it against the likes of Brad Miller?

If Eddy played as hard as he did last night, we'd be talking playoffs. That's all you have to ask from him, is to play hard. His talent is clearly top notch :banghead:

He played without Randolph.

That's what people say but I doubt this was it. The team just played tough and with grit last night, and Eddy will blend in to whatever environment the Knicks provide for him. Last night it was a positive one.

I think it was not playing with Randolph and wanting to show that he still got talent.

Eddy seems to be sending the message that he does not like playing with Randolph. Those are impressive numbers considering the opposition

Trade his rear end already. What has he ever done in this league to demand anything from this franchise? Isiah is the only idiot that would put all his stocks on a player who has yet to play in a playoff game.

This falls on Isiah because he brought in someone who was not a leader and tried to force them into too prominent of a role .The block shouldve been Eddys from the start with Zach playing a primary rebounder /secondary post scorer role .

Its much easier to work with 3 guys looking to score all the time than four guys and last night showed that the team performs much better in that scenario because you now have 2 ball movers instead of one .Even still in that scenario the knicks still found touches 8 shots for for MALIK

and even more touches .

The biggest thing to me was that isiah only played 8 guys and the team played well again.It tells me that Isiah needs to hurt some feelings choose his 8 wisely and stick to it barring injuries .

Eddy clearly feels more comfortable without Randolph. If Randolph had played and scored 25 points last night like eddy did, it would have came along with shooting like 8 for 28 and we would have have lost by ten. Eddy felt confident and was having fun. Last year Crawford throwing alley oops to Curry was exciting to watch. Watching Zach throw up bricks all day is not exciting to watch

Fat boy wanted to prove to all that he can play that way without Z. Such a bad team oriented way of thinking. His comments after the game were shocking. Z plays hard every night where as EC doesnt .

What does that tell you ? He CAN play that way when he wants to...

Exactly. I don't want selfish players who only think of stats but not winning on my team.

Nothing new happened here.

He can play like that every game if he he played hard but he won't. Isiah traded for him to see if he could get him too but it ain't working.

I don't think he can play that way everynight. If you could put up 25 points and 12 rebounds every night.. then why would he avoid the likely 20 million dollar/yr contract he could earn? To make a point? No, the problem is the entire Knicks team, Eddy especially, has trouble getting into a rhythm offensively when Zach "plays hard" AKA does not pass at all, shoots in double coverage, complains, and ruins the entire offense.

We have to remember Eddy has been handed everything on a silver platter. He dominated little kids in HS, he was anointed "the next Shaq" in Chicago and he got a big contract in NY with a guaranteed starting role. Now that he has to share with Randolph he's sulking like a jealous child. I'm positive Eddy is tanking on purpose to get Randolph traded.

If Curry could play just as good with Randolph on the court with him. Then why wouldn't he? To not get a big contract, to not win a championship, to get ripped by the media and benched? To tank games in order to get a player traded makes no sense. If curry could play good with Randolph he would have and we would be a playoff team. With that said, Curry can't play with Randolph, this whole team can't play with Randolph and he needs to be traded

Curry has played well with Randolph before, and poorly without Randolph before. Curry is just inconsistent and not that good a player pure a simple.
