real in what way ? real in that his future is top 20 player in the league real ? it's premature to think that. i'd rather tank again. no long contracts for anyone that isn't a certifiable perennial all-star. if the nets use their cap space on russell and some other c level talent they go from promising to treadmill overnight. i view what you're advising as the worst option possible.

They're not gonna do that. They're gonna spend the money.

I'll take some combo of uptrending guys over the Kemba Walkers, Klay Thompsons, and Al Horfords of the world all day every day. I like all of those players but we're damn sure getting nowhere ever going that route.

al horford is too old for anyone with half a brain to sign. kemba & klay are infinitely more tradeable after you sign them than russell and randle will likely be.

Maxed out over 30 and after the Knicks have mortgaged pieces to try and build around them? Nah.

Jesus Christ, we'd be better get KD...

Scenario I'm looking forward to, for the sheer entertainment value? KD & Kyrie turn the Knicks down and they throw a bunch of money at say, Middletown and Harris, because Dolan was very public about "how good FA is going to be" and doesn't want to be embarrassed.
Then they trade away 1/2 the youth and both the Mavs' picks, but absolutely trade away Knox, Frank and DSJr.
And resign Mudiay.

The meltdown on here would be awesome.

you could turn around and trade klay and/or kemba to the lakers at the deadline and get their young pieces. there are other teams that will want those guys. randle & russell are the type of guys who look great until you sign them to long term big money deals. then they become real hard to move. i don't want to do either but what you're suggesting is worse. age isn't everything in this case. also, klay is going nowhere anyway and kd is coming and you'll like it.

Honestly I'd be really into signing Kemba and Middleton if you get Zion. Make it at least a winning atmosphere from the jump with him. Those guys will be tradeable barring unforeseen injury problems.

So we have about a 60 percent chance of 4th or 5th and a 40percent chance of top 3... Not bad if you ask me
especially after watching THIS

Chuck...what are your thoughts?

Not preferable to KD/Kyrie but that's the alternative direction over lesser veteran stars. Rising, high producing talents that can be developed or moved in packages for bigger stars. Mecca's right that both isn't the greatest fit. Russell is real though. If you don't get the big fish, those are the kind of moves that prep you for acquiring one.

Sorry Cap, but I dont see DLo worth the big dosh. His value as a trade chip and as a player would drop down hideously when he wears the knicks jersey.

Tim sr upset that his son got traded again and he blames it on the "funky" Porzingis situation. Straight from the horse's mouth.

Tim Sr upset that his son does not get anymore to sabotage his archenemy the New York Knicks.

With less than 10 games to play Phoenix will do their best to make sure that they surpass the Knicks for worst record.

Well, they can’t make us win 3 games. Knicks just need to take care of business and go 2-8

The two wins will probably be against the Bulls.

Alot of these weirdo injuries seem to come up nearing the end of the regular season, its hard not to be suspicious that every lottery team is going hard for teh tankzors.

Just to confirm - If we finish with worst record we can’t drop lower than 5th overall right?
