Kahn admitted:

On the same day Carmelo Anthony said he'd consider signing a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets if they don't trade him, Timberwolves basketball boss David Kahn called his team's reported part in a three-way deal with Denver and New York involving Anthony "overstated."

Translated, that means an ESPN report last weekend that the Wolves would send a first-round pick and Corey Brewer to Denver to receive Knicks little-used forward Anthony Randolph and accept Eddy Curry's huge, expiring contract is too much to give.

"We were asked if there would be a way to participate in the event the other two teams could reach a deal and there likely could be," he said.

So to answer your question Vallen. No.

im not sure how any of that translates to a no. hes willing to sit in on a deal, but is |Denver still willing to deal since they wont be getting Brewer....

Interesting. Tina Cervasio was interviewing Shawne Williams and he said that trade rumors were bothering the "rookies." Then he went on to say guys have never been through a trade so they don't know what to expect so it's on their mind. -Jitpal

Yeah, I think he meant Chandler, Gallo etc. too but didn't want to throw them under the bus. -Jitpal

Who, outside of the "media" ever said that "Denver" wanted Brewer? That was my entire point of posting the Kahn quote. Minny + Curry= 3 million Luxury tax pool + the 13.1 million they won't have to pay in taxes- equals the real "value" that Minny brings to Denver. So again, No.

No Amar'e, so I bet that Donnie pulls the trigger on Melo very soon, because we're going to see what this team does without him.

Did Kahn the GM just confirm that they were asked to be involved in the three way deal? YES -Therefore, we can presume that it's a fact. Have you showed me any link/etc that supports that Denver wants Brewer? NO! Not to mention, Kahn is later quoted that they were not actively shopping Brewer. When you put it all together it's not "me" saying anything.

willing to be involved in a deal and actually getting a deal done is 2 completely different things. If Denver only wants savings then what are they holding out for again ?

it takes a lot to structure deal, Kahn saying hes a willing participant doesnt make anything a done deal jr...

Do you honestly think that Brewer is the deal breaker? Seriously? All we are saying is that the main reason to bring Minny in is for the savings they can provide Denver. That's it. Not Brewer and not the pick. Denver will get the talent part of the deal from us not from Minny.

I don't mind waiting for Carmello as he is a very good player. personally I would much rather move for a center and pg more then a wing player

Minny is most likely getting Eddy and AR for the savings and maybe the Utah pick. I actually don't believe that Brewer was involved to begin with to be honest with you. From our perspective, the most valuable asset we are getting from such a trade would be the savings that we can provide to Denver. Something no other team can currently provide unless they involve a third party.

My point exactly Knicks742... It was a pretty obvious point...

I can't wait for this deal to be completed

And Vallen, do me a favor- keep the little "jr" and "such" comments to yourself if you want to have a discussion with me- it's unnecessary and "baiting" to a degree

No doubt this trade is affecting gallo, I can tell by the way hes playing tonight. I just hope Dolan doesnt mess up this trade by forcing it down donnie's throat. Also, I really like the prospects of shawne williams if gallo ends up getting traded, great find Donnie.

I agree that Gallo is affected and it's trickled down into his play. Unfortunately, that may be an indication that he's not as tough as I have always believed him to be... I'll stay tuned for further development

As far as Williams is concerned- if he would just play defense, shoot the three's and stay away from those mid range shots- I'm fine with him...
