Awful thread.

All over Twitter at the moment with fans undecided on swapping to Brooklyn. Honestly, good riddance to any Knicks fan who swaps team. I don't want the Knicks associated with fans like that.

The franchise is bigger than any player.

I agree. Look at the big picture guys! We are fans of the Knicks, we are not Jemery Lin fanboys!
Patrick Ewing, who has done many more great things than Lin, got traded and we survived. Lin played amazingly well for 30 odd games and we are enamored with him like little girls are enamored with Justin Bieber.

I hope people can just wake up and calm the F down!

LOL at this poll. I still remember when Linsanity was just beginning and all these people were bashing Lin saying he'll be a nobody and now people are threating to leave the team if he's not back? I'm chinese and probably one of the biggest Lin fans around and own a Linsanity shirt and Lin swingman jersey. I'd only be really pissed because I spent money on him and I probably wouldn't want to wear it anymore. I can't believe people would jump ship on their own team for someone who's not a top 10 or hell top 25 player in the NBA. I'm really surprised the Knicks RealGm board whom I'd assume would hold members of die hard fans since fair weather fans probably wouldn't know this site, have such fickle and fence jumping Knicks fans.

The fair weather nba fan was brought in to the knicks by jeremy lin especially the asian population so him leaving will cause a hysteria. Your not a fan of a player but rather the team, I'll be here and literally cry when we win the championship. You see my join date been here for a long time and before I joined realgm I was posting on msgnetworks forum, die hard here....

Did not vote. I'd be truly broken-hearted. The main effect is it would probably just keep me away from the Knicks until pre-season and then of course I'd watch the games, but I would be too pissed off until then to give this the same attention I have lately. I stlil cannot believe this organization could be that stupid, so I'm just trying to chill until we know their decision.

Wil always be a Knick Lifer... but that being said. Its pretty hilarious that for so many years we have been searching for a PG to make us a legitimate contender and we MIGHT have found one out of the blue, and we proceed to fugg it up. It is so typical Knicks. I guess I should have expected it.

We will never win a chip with Fatty running the point for us. Never. Ever. That's what is sad about this whole situation. This whole 3 year thing is a farce. I say we blow it up now and sell everyone off and start all over, because I'm scared that we're gonna end up trading expirings for mammoth contracts that will strangle us for another decade or so. I ain't getting any younger.

I'm from NY, am a Knick fan, and will never stop. You can stop being a fan, I could care less. What sports team you support has no affect on me whatsoever. But a real fan stays with his team no matter what. You sir, are not a real fan.
