TKF wrote:thanks fellas, I know most didn't agree with my views, but first and foremost I will always be a knick fan, and love the knicks, I just didn't think it was fair to be such a sour puss consistently with those of you who really are behind what is going on now.

When I found myself being sucked into arguments and not being able to stop, I realized this was a problem.. posting here was an outlet for me after my mom died in 2001, pretty much the same time I signed up.... It was always fun, and I need to find that joy posting again... taking time off has helped a lot and I plan to take a lot more off..

the forum deserves someone more constructive at this point.... and my family deserves more of my time.....

I will be around, I am pulling for the knicks to kick arse and do well....

again, thanks fellas...

GO KNICKS!

Good on ya! Thank you for the service, but also you deserve more time with your family!! Glad you will still be a regular poster, but you leave big shoes to fill

Damn! This is a big loss.

I'll start the Keys to the Loss here.

"First of all, let me begin by saying TKF is a bonafied bum; the Scrub of the forum. If it weren't for Mods like Moocow7 and NoLayupRule TKF wouldn't even be on the forum. Other mods run circles around him and here we let this guy dictate how we post?! EMBARRASSING!!!!" :P

Seriously, gonna suck not seeing Forum Mod under your username. Still miss how you sunk your teeth into those keys after scores of devastating losses. With that said, good luck with the family TKF and don't leave the boards bro.

Wow - big news here.

Probably a good move for you. I just took a few months off posting and coming back a bit has been more relaxing. Don't need to get as invested. If entertainment becomes a stresser in your life it ain't worth it.

Hope we still get some good commentary as your posts are an integral part of what makes this board worth reading.

TKF helped make me enjoy the Isiah years. '06-'07 season in particular was a lot of fun.

Modding changes your experience as a user here. Any current or former mod knows that. Its really not as simple as it seems.

We all have or still put in a lot of work here. I appreciate his service. He is a legend here and deserves a standing ovation.

Modding does make a sense of attachment between me and the forum. Hate to admit if I can choose a forum to discuss basketball it must be realgm.

I've been reading the site for years, Never really posted all that much but finally got an account just recently and started posting. Probably since the time TKF joined back in 2001 Ive been lurking. I remember tons and tons of really good discussion with TKF, matchman, Jazz (FU), NYNEX, Span, DSN, Oz, Ralph.. all of the old timers. For you youngsters out there who were probably still in diapers when TKF started posting and only know the ornery TKF who isn't thrilled with the direction of the franchise, you guys need to appreciate how good of a poster this guy is and how much he meant to this community.

Be well man, I hope you still find your way around for game nights.

Hope you'll hang around - and share your views with the rest of us, as I do.

It's not easy being a passionate Knick fan - and then having to herd the Topsy-turvy emotions of other Knick fans, especially in the D-hole era.

Good luck to you - and enjoy your increased time with your family. Sometimes the best way to deal with this obsession is to focus elsewhere from time-to-time. Thinking too often about this franchise can make a sane man crazy.

Just wanted to say that there's no one on this board whose opinion I respect more than yours (actually, I could probably take it one step further and say there's no one whose opinion I respect as much as yours). I've always appreciated your input, and I think you handled the lynch mobs with a lot of poise and class.

I think you have the right attitude with this team: they're not worth losing sleep over. The Knicks have been a very poorly run organization for a while now, and that's not looking to change any time soon. Maybe one day they'll catch lightening in a bottle and go the distance in spite of themselves. I'll enjoy it if it ever happens. Otherwise, I'll just sit back and enjoy whatever wins they get, but expect them to never accomplish anything significant.

Good luck to you and enjoy spending time with your family.

Who gives a fawk if you're a mod or not?
You're a knick fan and will be around!
That's all that matters and all I need to know.
So, welcome back... sort of... and keep posting from time to time :D

TKF, your going to be missed as a mod AND a poster. I really never had to agree with you to enjoy your posts and it's too bad some posters were caught up giving you a hard time in those situations. The beauty of this board is the ability to have a difference in opinion while respecting the other people as a Knick fans. You exemplified this while posting and laying down the law when needed. Filling those shoes will be a tough task.

BTW "Keys to the Win/Loss" was obviously good but Scrub of the Night was always my must read section after the game. I hope we get a few cameos here and there.

TKF, I honestly don't remember reading a post of yours that I didn't agree with. I thank you for never being afraid to tell it like it is. Great mod, great poster, and I'm sure an even better person. You will be missed.

Man, this is MAJOR!

TKF: One of the best posters ever! We agreed often as much as we disagreed, but the back/forth were always great!
