I love Breen and enjoy him even more while on MSG. Excellent duo between him and Frazier. It's a privilege being able to enjoy his callings of games on a nightly basis. Truthfully one of the best play by play commentators around, which is why he's a big name and sought after (ESPN/ABC/MSG). I enjoy Breen because he's a Knick fan at heart and grew up dreaming of calling Knick games during his childhood days (and here he is, with our Knicks franchise). I also respect the boat load out of his professionalism while on National T.V because I know I couldn't do it myself. I'd be an awful commentator if calling Knick games on National Television due to being biased to the max. And no opposing fan and/or basketball observer outside of our Knicks fan base would ever enjoy sitting through that. So, I do respect his mental work ethic in regardless to being able to separate his Knicks love at heart to what's providing a living for his family; calling basketball games. Is he Marv Albert? No. But I rank Breen right up there with the likes of Kevin Harlan. He's a true Knicks fan who knows his basketball inside-out. I'm thankful for his entertainment.

"I think Carmelo Anthony, I think he's going to have a huge season. But they need him to play at an unbelievable level, maybe the best he's ever played for them to reach/to become one of the elite teams of the East".

He's always been a big time believer in Carmelo Anthony. Always. He was also spot on in regards to Anthony himself transforming us into an elite Eastern Conference contender. More like hit the nail on the head. Has given him respect and praise throughout the entire course of the season as well...

After years of merely reading these boards, I've finally learned at least one important rule. Regardless of your opinion of *anyone* - you need to keep it to yourself because inevitably there will be some douche bag who will tell you you're wrong for having said opinion.

Whether you agree that Mike Breen is a douche nozzle or not those amazingly insightful 'stfu's make you look like an asshat.


With that said Mike Breen certainly has a real bias against some members of our squad. No one is asking him to turn turds into gold but how about a little levity? Perhaps a compliment or two after a well executed sequence? If your job is to be impartial then so be it.
