The guy who was in the playoffs every year while NY was in the lottery and then brought NY to the playoffs in three out of his four seasons here. K.

Sorry bro but losing every year in the first round (once to the clippers) except once while in Denver is like not making the playoffs to me but then again I got the privilege to see the 90s Knicks and more, so forgive me if Melos first round exits don't impress me and especially when it will cost a 129 mill to keep those accomplishments on this team

I honestly don't care if Melo leaves. Just get as many assets as possible. I'm confident Phil will.

Lakers can offer the most besides us, so there's that, but how perfect is it to have the Lakers to use in a negotiation with Phil

I'm pretty sure we're offering a 5th year.

It does seem like a last second ploy by Leon Rose. However, I am concerned about that damn Chicago lawyer nonsense.

Melo can be bothered all he wants but he should be bothered with himself. He opened the door and Phil walked in. Nobody to blame but himself.

Mirotic and a couple of picks?

Its possible Phil might value a total reset next year with gobs of cap space over helping an EC rival.

I think that "report" is complete and utter garbage. Melo knows HE opened that can of worms a loooong time ago.

Some reputable Chicago source saying that Melo and his agents will be in Chicago tomorrow meeting at a law firm.

True. Makes sense but we would not be sending a big, long term contract back. Its either Booz and some picks/Mirotic, or some other filler contract with the offer. Nice avatar btw. Young bearded Phil is sexy! Crazy shoulders

Yeah. It's just more added drama.

I'll be ready for this to be over one way or another.

A poster on the bulls board said his buddies work for a big Chicago law firm and they tell him Melos lawyers will be there tomorrow. He then followed up with saying Melo will also be there like late morning

I aint a kid my friend, just a Knick fan not a certain player fan and I'm a very good business man and when it comes time you don't let anyone or anything make you fold unless the reward is huge and with Melo I'm sorry the reward is weak especially at a kobemax

Again remember both sides have fair arguments. Phil needs a star to attract stars and Melo needs to be paid and put in a situation to win. Both sides must look at all possible situations. Bottom line Phil might have to give melo what he wants because losing Melo would be a devastating blow to the Knicks organization and fan base. Knicks need melo more then they melo needs them. They both have to compromise.

You guys are going in on Melo for NO REASON.. A story is "leaked" and you have ZERO idea where its coming from... He is a free agent and he can do what the **** he wants to do.. Knicks fans for a large part undervalued Melo since he's been a Knick and now that some story is "leaked" bunch cats with their panties up in a bunch because it's not perfect and roses and ****.. get outta here with that mess..

I want him back but like Phil said, if he comes back we're fortunate. If he doesn't come back we're fortunate...We are headed in the right direction regardless.
