Tomorrow probably going to be a boring game. Harvey will likely pitch 3 innings, and Verrett will finish his start with 3-4 innings.

Has CC been consistently bad this year? Or has he shown glimpses of his past self?

While Pineda has been the best 5-6 inning pitcher, CC has been the BEST 4 inning pitcher on the Yanks. ;)

CC has been good for about a month now, I wouldn't count on him to win tomorrow though

C.C could only give u 5 good innings. In a perfect world. C.C would go 5, than Nova( he was moved to the pen) pitches the 6th. We than have Wilson in the 7th, Betances 8th, and Miller closes it out.

You gotta earn trust. Michael Pineda hasn't been able to get to the 7th since July 4th, never mind his health. Things were about to get ugly in the 6th.

It'll be interesting to see how the Mets fans react to Harvey's innings/pitches limit tonight. For me, I'm tired of his fugazi bullshyt. Trade him to Colorado during the off season. He can pitch in that thin air for the next three years and see how he likes THAT.

That's Scott Boras for you.

Dude was so hard set on the 180 inning limit. didn't even bother mentioning pitch counts, stressful innings, efficiency, and Harvey's 18 month rest (not the usual 12).

soooo obvious he just wants to baby his client till he gets a Krenshaw contract.

Harvey's innings concerns are legitimate. He has hundreds of millions of dollars at stake if he blows out his elbow again.

I think that he and his agent could have handled it better, though. They should have stressed how they would do whatever they could to help the team win and then shut up.

I predict 5 inning for Harvey in his last 2 starts unless the game gets out of hand and then he will be primed for the post season!

Did you see the article where Tommy John, himself, said that Harvey should be pitching more, not less.

That's fine and I completely understand that. But then why was he fighting the team so strongly to get out onto the mound in September of last year? Why was he fighting the team on the six man rotation? If the 180 cap was etched in stone from the beginning of the season, then the Mets would've waited until May to start pitching him so that they wouldn't run into a Strasburg situation like that Nats did.

Sorry, can't agree with you on that.

sure did.

the only one who backs up this 180 inning limit is Boras.

I highly doubt we are going to use Verrett today. I think we are going to ride other RP's after Harvey's 3 IP. Wright is going to go off vs Lefty. High scoring affair potentially, but we need to save Verett so we can start providing days off to all of our young arms (Niese, DeGrom) in prep for a possible post-season.

Ball 4 to Duda should have been strike 3. Joe better get the pen up. He can't be playing any games.

Was CC topping 92 all year? I swear last time he met the Mets, he was only getting like 89-90.
