mario being the big free agent is kind of scary. i understand part of that is just to make him feel wanted but don't put that out into the universe lol

And if they aren't so bad, that's a good thing.

I guess but we really need one more dominant young controllable piece even if Knox and Mitch workout.

Cap raised by 8 Million, Knicks front office and coach on point, and KP back in NYC early. What a time

I loved the chemistry between all three of them and how invested they are are on player development. I also liked that they are focus on building a better culture. Looking forward to seeing this team play win or lose. I want to see them improve and hopefully leave an imprint. #goknicks

agreed, for example if you sign Kyrie and Durant tells you if you clear another max FA spot I will 100% sign with you. The only way to clear that 2nd max is a team is requesting a 1st round pick to take on THjr contract. You move the 1st round pick to sign Durant.

Also they keep talking about not "skipping steps" well lets see, because development as well as not trading 1st round picks is another process in, not skipping steps. So I better not see Lee and Lance chewing up 25-30 minutes a night while young players with an actual future on the squad ride the bench just because they give you a better chance to win now.

That is something I will be keeping an eye on all year...talking process and not skipping steps but running Kanter/Lance/Lee out there for amajor minutes would be the opposite of development in my eyes.

Then what was all that take from Mills about making a big splash in '19 FA? He speaks with fork-ed tongue.

I liked that they said a guy like Hezonja could be the FA. Doesn't sound like they're gonna gut. They've really played that up.

That's right. This is what she should be talking about instead of some stupid Jimmy Butler trade. We should be building up Mario's confidence and developing him. Forget about Butler.

He said that we wouldn’t be trading any of our picks, right?

So maybe he thinks he’ll be able to rustle up some late firsts by the deadline with the second drafters & our expiring guys that can play?

With the way our roster works out with KP out, I won’t mind seeing Lance starting alongside Knox & Kanter...especially at the start of the year.

Assuming THJ starts alongside Frank, I don’t wanna put the pressure of being the second best defender on the court on Knox. I think he will surprise a lot of people who watched him in college by defending himself more of the intensity that he did before Kentucky; but let’s easy him in so he can take to whatever starts working for him first & build out from there.

Development is often more about putting your young talent in the best position to succeed & grow, than just playing the youngest players possible at any given time, ya know? That’s why even Courtney I can see being helpful to the second unit with Trey, Hezonja, Vonleh & Mitch; if Dotson doesn’t thrive like Fiz seems sure he will.

No more "Melo trades." I see they've finally learned their lesson. I guess that settles that.

watching it now and here's my thoughts:

- 18:57 glad fizdale acknowledge burke is a bum and has to prove himself, along with mudiay/mario/that pf

- 22:05 knicks letting fans know this season isn't about wins and losses but growing pains, building character. it's also awesome knowing the fans have bought in.

- 40:15 sorry haters but it seems like the front office LOVES kanter and his leadership, it's not too far fetch to think he's brought back. it could really be a match made in heaven. kanter loves new york, front office loves him, and centers like him are being phased out from the nba ... he could be brought back cheap and be an offensive punch with thj off the bench.

45:40 mills dropped the "kanter for life" it's in. you know it, embrace the smile and the hairline.
and as always, mitch should be attached to the kanters hip and learn his footwork.

they're saying the right things. i'm becoming a fan of fizdale, it seems like he knows his job isn't to win but to develop. if the wins come that's gravy. imagine being a coach and being told it's okay if the team sucks, just develop them? this season will be super stress free for fizdale.

opposing fans should be scared, i fully anticipate trolling to be in the extreme levels because the know kp/frank/knox/mitch/'19 top 5 pick + kyrie irving puts the knicks back on the map.
LOL Y U MAD THO?
