suns down 20 vs lakers with no bron or kuz...same lakers team we built. there are 4 teams in this and we really need some wins from CHI and the Suns to make me feel comfortable.

Melo sits front row, gets an ovation. THJ gets a jersey swap. Frank plays great, gets benched. Chants of “We want Kanter” (to be traded for cap space and a second rounder)!

You know when you're on a really long road trip or maybe pulled an all-nighter for school and you’ve been driving too long or stayed awake too many hours and sh*t starts to get really weird?

Yeah, that’s what this season feels like now.

Funny Melo shows up to the last Wade game at MSG.

Had Melo gone to the Heat like he should've his career would've been completely different right now.

Wade is just trying to help his friend.

The NBA is a brotherhood. They look out for their own.

The GM's, though, realize where Carmelo is at this stage of his career and what kind of player he is/was. Signing Melo will not help you win many games.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Not sure if you guys are saying this is a good thing for Trier or bad for him.

How is it good? Trier is a dribble dominant guard with tunnel vision and no conscience - in other words all the thing the other 2 are loathed for. But somehow it's good that Trier can do it better?

Word. The only meaningful knock basketball I’ve watched in a longgggg time was when KP became a Knick. Then he subsequently got injured

Trier is a 6th man at best in the league.

He doesn't have many fundamentals and his basketball IQ is limited.

Doesn't mean he can't be useful on a good team.

Right now all his flaws are out in the open. They can be hidden within a good team.

Melo did a lot of things he shouldn’t have in his career. He took the contract that gave him another year which guaranteed him more money with Denver, but essentially removed him from 2010 when all of his friends: Bosh, James, wade became free agents.

When he became a free agent again as a Knick, he prioritized money as opposed to winning, his best bet at the time would have been to join the bulls.

The only thing that was out of his control was not being drafted as a piston at number 2 overall. Which in the end was oddly enough the only thing his resume is missing. A ring, which the pistons won the following season after that draft.

Melo’s career arc is kind of sad, a bunch of shoulda coulda woulda’s

Jeez I kind of feel for the guy but I don't since he always paper chased.

Also he said his Olympic medals gave him more satisfaction than winning an NBA ring. That pissed me off.

In terms of why I personally think Trier has a role that makes sense is the fact that he attacks, shows glimpses of good defense, and has shown flashes of distributing.

In my eyes he is a very solid 6th man in his career. He can score in bunches and unlike someone like Trey, he has the size and athleticism to hold his own at SG. Trey is a SG, but has to play PG due to size.

Obviously he needs to work on playing more of a team game and definitely needs to improve defensively, but one thing I have noticed that he does that Trey and THJ rarely do, is that he doesn't put up crazy numbers of shots when they aren't falling.

As a rookie he has some things to love and he has some things he really needs to work on, but for a role as a sixth man I think would be perfect for highlighting his strengths and would suit him very well.

The problem with THJ is that he is a starter and thinks he's a superstar with how he conducts himself out there. THJ and Trey are arguably worse than Trier on defense already and that is pretty damn bad. THJ could give Kanter a run for his money for worst defender on the team.

The difference is he’s a rookie who can still improve. He’s shown some passing ability. He’s one of the few guards on the team who has shown actual on-court chemistry with Mitch.
