Quickley is a leader, a shooter and a defender, with the Kentucky upside. At the very least, he'll be a solid pro. That floater is solid, and his ability to draw fouls his really promising, especially since he can convert at an elite clip at the line.
Dude balled out but this game really highlighted how Payton is holding the team back with his horrific, ineffective and selfish PG play. How this organization treats this guy like he's achieved anything when he's only been on losing teams is beyond me. The team played so freely without him, Knicks really need to cut him asap.
RJ balled out. He's the best player on the team, and he sets the tone. His defensive intensity has improved as well.On offense, I love how every move he makes is decisive. He doesn't always make good decisions but he doesn't waste time and hijack the offense. Randle could learn from that, although he played far better today and displayed a more team-oriented attitude. He's so much more likable and effective when he just lets the game come to him.
Knox's jumper was water and he seems to have worked on his mobility in the off-season. Props to him. Doesn't seem to have those brick feet. Mitch dominated defensively and showed why he's a foundational piece. Bullock played well and let the game come to him.
Nice win.
