Right, Randle is the crown jewel to both the FO and Thibs. If they would've referenced Grant instead of Turner I'd be more inclined to believe it, since they both play the same position.

Yep if it's Turner, the Knicks are going to build a win-now team around Julius lol. The final coup de grace to ruin everything forever lol.

you didn't hear? Turner is the missing piece that'll catapult us to a contender

Well, Thibs likes IQ. But I would NOT bet my life against RJ for Turner or something like that.

After what we have seen of RJ lately I would bet my life and everyone else's in the Garden that we dont move him for the likes of Myles Turner. If anyone will be moved for him it would be OBI IMO.

RJ's stock has to be rising within the Knicks organization while Randle's nose dives.

A month ago I would have agreed they would explore trading RJ to get Randle help

Now that seems implausible

They might not trade either of them, but they have to be looking at ways to move Julius now

Trading RJ and keeping Randle now would be insane

if we make an all-in move to build around julius i will pray every day for a meteor to strike the earth

i never liked rooting against him (julius) but i honestly do not want to give the fat bald guy any excuse to randleball ever again. if he has to score 2 points every game for the rest of the season and thumbs down his own children then so be it

Why do Turner at all at this point. Mitch and Obi for Turner or whatever adds little. I did dabble in the idea myself, before Julius went into his final nosedive.

You'd be better off trading every pick and the rookies for ... yep you know. Fred. That way you at least keep the young guys around and Fred is legit and still youngish. Or something like that. Turner isn't even good on the Pacers.

Why are people talking about Fred?

He's not available and there is no reason for TO to trade him.

Personally I'd rather trade Randle for Cam and stuff than Turner but won't happen. The latter more likely. And I don't even think Cam is good but yeah prefer that route.

Been crunching numbers for a while now and I can say with complete confidence that IQ will go for 30 plus tonight.

This is a GT but yeah I think we should expect the worst. Randle just got a big contract -- it hasn't even kicked in yet lol. Turner wants out and is a great talent rolls eyes.

What about Thibs leads anybody to believe he thinks RJ is vital OR that Thibs is going anywhere OR that his opinion won't be what wins the day. All 3 make me think the risk of the Knicks trying to build around Randle is quite high. At least higher than we think here.

Thibs would be delighted to roll out a team that can take the Nets to 5 tough games.
