Re: PG: KNICKS Swat Hornets
Another solid team win on the road. 8-5 after a slow start from half the team? 4 back to backs in 13 games? I'll take it all day. It's so weird having confidence and a good team to go with it. So many years of losing games like this that it doesn't seem real.
Who got next?

how come you couldnt preach this type of patience when randle was coming off ankle surgery and was out of rhythm
Because no one knew it impacted him until a story dropped. It honestly just looked like bad decision no defense playing Randle. Settling for 3s and not passing the ball. He was not playing under control as much as he is now even if it’s not perfect. This attack first Randle is good to see. Just give me more hockey assist.

I know a lot of you were ready to trade him for KAT after the first 6 games, but you can admit now.... he's been great, and we need him. I'm not afraid to admit, I love him. He's an absolute dog and he does it all for this team.
Edit: also give him credit for saying he was going to play more inside this year and doing just that. It's made a big difference with him bullying guys in the paint, and kicking it out to our shooters. It worked to perfection tonight with him scoring at the rim and Brunson and DDV shooting lights out.
People just don’t like Julius. Like, as a person. It’s crazy because pointing out his accomplishments and good play in the past has gotten people calling me a troll and just a bad person for supporting him even though he’s (gasp!) on my team! Most will say he did well but throw in some shade or point out his negatives in some way. It’s popular to hate him on this board. That said, your right; he’s been really good the past two weeks.
It's easy to offend Knicks fans. The dude gave MSG a thumbs down while being boo'd mercilessly and having his wife and son heckled at the games and on Twitter, and it seems like he can never recover from it lol. How childish and sensitive can we be?
I didn't like his temper tantrums when he was really going through it. Swatting the iPad out of the coach's hand and getting in IQs face were low points for sure, but I understand that these guys are human, and Julius especially is an emotional cat. It's a gift and a curse. Kinda like Draymond, where that fire inside of him makes him a great player, but also a frustrating player.
That being said, anyone who is that loving of a father gets my respect immediately. He's also just a very well-spoken, down to earth and intelligent seeming dude off the court. His work ethic is second to none. He gave the Knicks a discount on 2 separate contracts, and I think he relishes being a Knick. Add to that: 2 all-star appearances, 2 all-NBA teams, and 2 playoff appearances in 4 years with him as either our best or 2nd best player - and it's amazing to me how much people hate him after all the losing seasons we've sat through for the better part of over 20 years.

McBride with the heartwarming offense. I raised my pint to you when he scored.
Gotta love it. The power of Deuce! Raising my glass of booze as well

And yet he still won't be rewarded and we'll lose him for nothing
I doubt it's for nothing.
He's proved he can be more than a throw in in a trade. That matters.
Also, IF the Knicks make a trade, if this McBride is legit, he's a bench option waiting to happen.
Or he's put in a trade and the Knicks bring over Jockitchbitus.
Good to have depth and options.
Yes, they still need another bigtime player to take the next step.
Or at least rationalize the roster with wing height.

Meh, it really really depends on how people say it. Like I think it's fine to be a fan of Julius, but if you can't admit his shortcomings, especially when he is to blame, then it becomes extremely trolly. Basically, if you sound like NYKBacker, then you'll get called out like Backer. Except we all know NYKBacker is basically a troll.

its common sense for randle to be out of rhythm because he couldnt play any 5 v 5 during the entire off season. you guys just couldn't wait to bash him without logic.

The Obi situation really left a bad taste in my mouth like we really lost him for nothing despite what some thought of him.
I see the same with Deuce bc Thibs doesn't EVER reward him... season after season he works his ass off but never gets minutes

I think his defensive impact + offensive rebounding verses some of those players allows him to be at the very least close to them. Bam is better this season but haven't watched enough to say, but I feel like Mitch impacts the game more even if Bam can score. Its just things Mitch does that doesn't show up in the stat sheet ON TOP of what does like the rebounds and blocks.

I will say, he may be the best at what he does.
Dekembe was not the player Sabonis was, not Shaq, not Dirk etc. But his value was clear. Mitch might be the best rebounder and shot blocker while not needing the ball. That is it's own remarkable feat.

I still feel Dante was brought here to replace IQ
BKN is certainly not keen to do this, but it's fair in value if we trade IQ, Grimes, picks, Fourier contract for the last of the Villanovians.
