No jury should have to view photos of Dolan's dick.

We all know that Dolan is a scumbag, but for multiple reasons - which we don't need to rehash here. I will reserve my judgment until more facts come out regarding this lawsuit, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. Which is why I believe there isn't such a thing as an ethical or morally good billionaire. They are power freaks and will do whatever they can to get more than what they have - even if they have it all.
Maybe but the only assumption I can make for any self made billionaire is that they are very intelligent and disciplined. Warren Buffett seems like a nice enough guy...Of course Dolan was born into money so.....

Has Dolan actually been putting money into the team? My understanding was that this franchise just printed money even when IT had Jimmy paying tax for a garbage team.

I don’t see any scenario where Dolan ever sells MSG outside of the city revoking his sweetheart lease. If he sells just the Knicks, it would have to be some kind of complex spinoff from the MSG stock. The more likely scenario is that he’s Harvey-Weinsteined out entirely by the MSG board. In which case I imagine the board would just hire another owner to act as governor. Fans forget that Dolan doesn’t actually own the team. He’s majority shareholder in the publicly traded parent company, which is an odd scenario.

Idk what happened to the Liberty, but that seems to be our best shot here. Would love to get insight on the corporate legalities of it all if anyone understands.

Funny, not funny, how Dolan gets the benefit of the doubt and KPJ gets convicted without a trial.

There’s a federal lawsuit filed. Did anyone post the Complaint yet?

This is the second time Dolan’s been sued over sexual harassment/discrimination allegations. The first time resulted in a jury verdict against him and Isiah in the Browne-Sanders trial. Dolan’s a liability now to the stockholders and the NBA. I can’t imagine E.T. taking this crap. I imagine that Dolan will have to be liquidated with …

Dolan has always had the look of an evil and sinister man that I wouldn't trust behind closed doors.

A few years ago I showed a music video of JD & The Straight Shot to my wife who knew nothing about Dolan at the time and the first thing she said was that he gave the impression of a Harvey Weinstein.

Is that true? I thought Wilpons were mostly regular MLB owners until the Madoff scandal. That's when they went from the Wilpons to the Coupons.

As far as Steve Cohen, hard pass from me. On top of his hedge fund, the Mets aren't exactly a money maker yet. Rich as he is, his pockets are not endless. And even if they were, NBA has harder restrictions than the MLB.

Lastly, he isn't doing great with the Mets.

Hopefully we get a well-rounded owner. I think the era of cheap NBA owners are long gone.

Mark Cuban is worth 7 billion. And he sold the Mavs to the family who owns Las Vegas Sands. That company alone is valued at 36 billion. So I just think there's a line of buyers worth much more than the owners.

I'm also wondering if Saudsi Arabia or UAE will ever buy NBA teams like they've done with football and soccer teams.

After Stevie got burned from last year's debacle, he's treating the Mets like a small market team now. Let's see how long that lasts...if I were a Met fan, I'd hope that he makes some good trades in the financial realm so he could open up the purse strings again...

I wonder if this is the real reason MSG, Inc. appointed another governor to represent the Knicks at NBA ownership meetings.

He's able to do things like overpay for old pitchers. Once it doesn't work out, he trades them and gets picks in return because he agrees to still pay majority of the salary. AFAIK, you can't really do that kind of stuff in the NBA.

As much as we hate Dolan, I'm going to reserve judgment until proof is given. The "summoned" and "felt obligated to submit to sex with him" statements IMO casts shade on the accusations. If she was basically sexually assaulted (which is what the line "[Dolan] allegedly dragged Croft to a couch and forced her between his legs" means, the notion that she can then be "summoned" and feel "obligated to submit" to further sexual assault is hard to believe. Yes this happens more often than not in marriages and similar relationships, but this is not that. Doesn't mean he didn't. Just sounds a little dicey. But if he did it, then yeah, fry the little bastard.

This is a man so thoroughly insulated by an internal system of litigation protection that anybody making allegations would need enough substance to convince very expensive attorneys to take the case forward.

The frivolous sh*t never sees the light of day with strongmen scumbags like Dolan J Trump. What we, as fans of the NBA, should be hoping for here is some kind of public shame smoking gun that forces him out at the NBA, who wants him out, or even better with the shareholders and board at MSG.

I spent a good 20 years with casual access to the league office and can report that 100% of employees, staff, executives, interns, and anyone else who has contact with Dolan wants him out. He is universally loathed.

well first off these allegations are terrible, horrific and shocking.
if there is any truth to them the focus should be on jail time not the NBA

but were all here for the knicks and we only know about Dolan because of the knicks (unless were fans of bad blues) so its ok to discuss obviously

the NBA wont stand by and ignore it if these allegations prove out in any way
even if he settles out of court and the charges are dropped there will be an investigation

Dolan is hated
he may not survive this as owner of the knicks unless it plays out as a total scam

too soon to tell

but its significant and serious - thats for sure

It's so common, If you work a tech job for a VC startup at some point you'll be around while they try to flex their power on some 20 year old girl even if it's just to impress his contemporaries

Based on Silver's past comments, he is wary about allowing the Saudis in.

Personally, it would be appalling to allow a Saudi backed group to buy an NBA team, especially in New York where 9/11 happened. But that's just me.

Agree on the Saudis. But what about UAE, Qater, etc?

Abu Dhabi already owns New York FC with the Yankees, who I would say is America's baseball team.

It's a slippery slope, I know. I single out the Saudis implicitly due to their ties to 9-11 and the barbaric murder of Washington Post Reporter Jamal Kashoggi.

I also think that Joe Tsai should be forced to sell the Nets and my Liberty due to his ties to Xi Jinping's genocidal behavior in China. Basically, anyone with ties to regimes that are adversarial to us or have committed atrocities should not be allowed to own American sports franchises.
