The fans move is putting much better players in the starting lineup like Kolek, Hukporti and Dadiet. Here we go again with that

every fanbase thinks there's somebody on the bench that should be playing and that their coach is an idiot. it's universal when you're not winning. "they need to develop the youth" well yes but it's not really that easy. they been developing jericho sims for years and he still sucks. in fact, i believe that young man is 39 years old now.

What's ridiculous about playing Kolek when Brunson's play is suffering like it has lately?

You'd see an actual playmaker on the floor for a change

You can’t be serious. Part of being a playmaker isn’t just passing the ball. You have to be able to create looks for yourself to get others open. Most teams have shown that they can guard Kolek man to man. If he can’t break the defense he can’t find open teammates bc they won’t be open. Also…as bad as Brunsons defense has been, Kolek is 20x worse.

Actually, I don't think you're serious. There's no way you'd have such a chit take on Kolek if you've actually watched him play.

That was flat out embarrassing. We don't beat good teams. Unless they find a better coach this is who we are.

Because Kolek is barely an NBA player. Putting him in the same sentence with Brunson is comical

Saying Kolek is barely an NBA player is hysterical

The FO obviously didn't feel that way when they made the first multi-year guaranteed deal for a 2nd round player in NBA history.

Kolek led the nation in assists and is obviously very skilled to anyone who has watched him

Maybe we do need to try Mitch and KAT. Can’t keep going with his defense. Maybe skinny Mitch is diff lol

I like the idea with MB, talent ceiling and all over DiVo. But he is really crapping the bed

That never happened though. Thibs just sucks and his lawyers wanna blame anyone but him for being stupid. No one ever suggested starting any of those players.

Thibs can't run an offense to save his life. His defense is antiquated. His rotations are straight trash.

Do they get MSG in Rikers? Optimum dropped them so I was thinking maybe I can do a little time instead of paying $30 a month to watch Thibs suck at his job.

Someone posted earlier the most damning stat about Thibs to the effect he only had 2 seasons on the Bulls where he had winning records against teams above .500. That's it, just 2 seasons with any edge against the better teams in the league.

He really is a regular season grinder who pads his record against sub .500 teams by overplaying his starters. That's exactly it

Must be nice to have a guy on your bench that can score 31 easily if some of your starters dont have it. Fans want our starters to play their minutes, then play with the bench too to help them and wonder why at the end of the game the starters minutes are so high and they are tired.

OKC starters: +55

Knicks starters: -85

The bench clearly has issues but how is the solution to just run the starters into the ground? What does it accomplish? This team has a ton of issues. I don't think Thibs is the solution to any of them.

Problem - Teams have adjusted to Brunson from last year & they have the big guards to slow him down. Thibs is still running the offense through Brunson even though the team as a whole has changed.

Solution - Run the offense through KAT and incorporate more of an inside out game which forces opposing teams to react to Towns and his ability spread the ball.

Just doing motion and read and react isn’t going to work with Mikal, Towns & OG. You have to actually tailor your offense to the players on your team.

OG excels with post ups and backdoor cuts with the occasional catch and shoot. Relegating him to catch and shoots, ISO’s and a post ups here and there is misusing him. Mikal works as a secondary playmaker for others who does backdoor cuts and midrange catch and shoots. Relegating him to the corner with ISO’s and catch and shoots is mis using him. I could keep going. The bench is weak but this is why you stagger minutes. It’s common sense that the average fan understands but an nba coach doesn’t is perplexing. Tom probably understands this and just doesn’t give a fu*k, he’s doing it his way.

Well this idiot is about to find a mutiny on his hand because OG & Mikal are doing silent protests if anyone is really paying attention.

Maybe we're just not playing the right bench players. Get Kolek in there instead of Payne. Huk instead of Precious. Sprinkle in a little Ryan and Dadiet. Throw the defense a hurdle man. Mix it up. Keep them guessing. There is absolutely no creativity with the rotations.

That's one of the best descriptions of Thibs I've ever read. He's just a regular season grinder who beats bad teams. And always flames out in the playoffs.
