TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to trade Trey Lyles and a 2026 2nd round draft pick (From Indiana*) to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Zach Collins.

*- Indiana gets its pick back.

The Toronto Raptors pummeled the Houston Rockets 118-99, to continue their torrid streak at home at Scotiabank Arena. It was a game in which they led by as many as 27 points.

Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert pulverized the Rockets frontcourt, each posting a double-double while stuffing the stat sheet (Wemby flirted with a quadruple-double).

Meanwhile Bol Bol — again starting at small forward — kept up his elite defense, holding Brandon Ingram to a dismal 6-15 shooting night. The new starting frontline consists of all three players standing 7’1” or above (the behemoth Gobert being the shortest) with insane wingspans.

The Raptors defense held their 7th straight opponent (9 out of their last 10) below the 100 point mark.

Toronto’s record improves to 35-10, 3rd best in BaF, maintaining their Atlantic Division lead and 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. They are winners of 7 straight overall (11 out of their last 12) and a league best undefeated 21-0 at home.

I like this move for both teams. Cleveland gets a high-end young talent with size and versatility, locked into a long-term deal. As well as a cheap shooter to replace some of the depth he’s sending out.

Utah gets a plethora of talented young cheap pieces and a 1st rounder, as they embark on a true rebuild.
