Maybe seriously he shouldn’t be the head coach during games

He can run practices

You mean that stretch that precious was on the bench while Cam was in?

Don’t think so but not sure but he took him out with intent to leave him out

He’s a clown

He is the same guy who wanted to replace Deuce with Burks

He’s lame

When is the last time a team ranked 20th overall in total opponent FG % and near the bottom of other defensive categories won an NBA championship?

Mike D’Antoni got fired for less and he at least got to a conference finals multiple times in his career.

The playoffs are a different animal. And you won’t be playing a bunch of soft teams like the Hawks or Hornets.

We need to make some more big moves this summer because the coach isn’t going anywhere.

With Mitch and OG back int he fold we wont rank 20th. Heck with just OG we were at like 14th or 15th earlier in the season.

The stats I’m giving include OG.

I think it’s wishful thinking to think a defense which has been objectively bad defending the paint and the 3 point line will be able to steamroll to a title because of the addition of one perennially injured big man in Robinson who probably won’t be playing more than 20-25 mpg.

Part of it is coaching scheme, the other is better defensive personnel. But I do think the coach is a big hinderance right now.

Time will tell. I hope I’m proven wrong. I’d love to be epically wrong and someone taking a dump on my face if I am and we get to the Finals.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Then again I do give Thibs credit on big man development

How did KAT lose that FT rebound

He’s so soft, gets absolutely manhandled by okongwu

Still second in rebounding in the league but it feels like he loses some he should get, through weak boxouts
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

KAT was magical in early in this game. He just had absolutely no legs to finish that game.

Brunson did a great job closing.

Wasn't an ideal game to lose Deuce for the 2nd half.

Best record at the ASB in 28 years? Best team this century. End of story.

We already use to having a good team. We tryna get past the second round. Y’all think this will work? It’s ok to point out flaws in wins. Knicks have a lot to work on if they are trying to win a chip. If they want to win 50 games and excite casual fans then they can keep doing what they are doing.

We haven't seen the final form of this team, Mitch will make a huge difference in the playoffs. Ppl don't remember what he brings?

Who is claiming we or any team for that matter "will be able to steamroll to a title"? There's too much parity for that. But...I dont think its unreasonable to think that with both Mitch OG in the lineup, along with Bridges that our defense will improve significantly.

But you could be right, we'll only know once those players hit the court and play together for another 20 games. But imo with Mitch , OG, and bridges will atleast be mediocre...and probably a bit better like top 10-12 IMO.

Right and if you look at the 5 games OG has missed despite going 4-1 the defense is basically non-existent. We gave up 125.4 ppg in the last 5 games. As I say he is our anchor. And yes Mitch in the rotation in whatever capacity is another big bandaid hopefully on the way. Again we aren’t trying to be the 2000s pistons here this is a top nba offense that just needs to find a way to get a few more stops

I just feel like having one ball handler to end games with Brunson having to iso to bail us out is just not a winning strategy. What’s the point of Towns if he’s just a floor spacer?

They showed a lot in not folding in OT. They fcked up in letting it get to OT but they handled it. Which shows a lot of heart. We can complain about a thibs teams X&Os and mins but what they will always do is fight. they aren't going to roll over.

This win was dope.

KAT with back to back 40+ point and 10+ rebound performances on a back to back

Also a total of 5 steals

Also went 18 of 20 from the free throw line

Also shot a ridiculous 10 of 18 from the 3pt line

Some of you guys really want to be that mad at him?!

It's crazy to have a big dude like Towns who can take a shot from the logo and then drive on you the next possession

This game def took years out of my life but a win is a win and learning to remain poised when choking a lead and still finding a way to win is important in the long term.
