how are you going to justify your boy running to the media instead of talking to the coach. Seems pretty immature and toxic. I mean thibs seems like a really easy guy to talk about issues with. Mikal looks terrible here. Waiting for your repose. As long as you don't blame OG somehow.
Mikal did talk to the coach though, at least he said he did.
Oh damn. I missed that.
We have a liar or.... thibs is senile which is excusable cause he is old as hell. Either way this is a bad look.
Thibs standing on business. Sounds like Mikal is a liar!

Mikal letting it all out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Translation: "Thibs' offensive scheme sucks. He doesn't run any plays for me. I have no idea where my shots are coming from. freelance playground offense is trash."
I noted it out loud in earlier games that when Mikal touches the ball most trips down the floor the team tends to be playing better and he tends to make good decisions with the ball.
It is when guys like him go five trips in a row with his teammates taking turns playing ISO ball that Bridges withers up and falls out of sync.
The team always plays better as a whole when Mikal is more involved in the offensive sets. Thibs is supposed to be the professional who understands this, but he clearly does not.

Thing i love about the knicks is theyre consistent. Throughout the years management and players change hell the world changes but we can always count on the knicks to be toxic as hell.
They might try to sweep this under the rug but their is a fundamental problem between mikal and thibs. That mikal aired out to the public and thibs is saying he didn't talk to me about it. Yikes

Yeah my first reaction was it's good to hear this from a player. On further reflection it could have all been done in private conversation between Mikal and Thibs. Why is it out in public anyway? I assume Mikal chose to speak to the reporter. It's not good if it causes distractions heading into playoffs
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

That’s a great way to describe Mikal Bridges - soft.
It’s not just this minutes comments. It’s getting over screens. It’s finishing at the rim.
Just a soft player.

It's not a lie necessarily
Mikal may have talked to Thibs
Thibs may have heard him but Thibs may not have made it a back-and-forth conversation

He's going to have to call a player a liar and potentially lose the locker room. This is truly wonderful.

The other day Thibs tried to shove me face first into my hall locker during recess, but I sidestepped him and he did a faceplant.
Now Thibs is telling everyone that he creamed me like Wheatena.
Fake ass loser

Yeah I guess thibs can be mister semantics about it saying a conversation is different but having a player air this sht out and then have thibs deny a conversationa and say it's bullcht is not a good look on both sides.

Coach killer mikal is too perfect cause either this sht improves the team or I get to flip all you mins police(specifically mp) sht for siding with a trash player that ruined our window and got our best coach of this century fired.

chasing around the leagues best players while also carrying a load offensively...while the league is playing at a high pace is just not sustainable.
Not just about injuries...its also about on court performance late in games. You have to chase around Brown or Tatum all game and then when they sit you chase around Pritchard...so that when Brown or Tatum come back in our guys are still on the court.
Also you play your bench even if they are struggling because you need to instill confidence and consistency with them. They won't get into a rhythm with spotty minutes.
In the playoffs limited minutes is one thing because you typically have rest before each game and its win or go home. But playing playoff minutes in the regular season is always been a crutch for Thibs.
Yes sure Mikal was absolutely right
The Cavs and Thunder have only 1 player: SGA in top 50 in mpg, and only 6 players in top 100 in mpg. There's a reason why they look sharp in 4th quarters and win boatloads of games (see Thibs, you don't have to run a sprint, these guys have been running marathon and yet they're miles ahead of your ass)
Their role players get actual consistent roles and are ready to contribute night in night out, they feel involved and invested in the teams' success as much as the star players
You put their super role players under Thibs and they get the same garbage mins, some DNP-CDS, noone's getting confidence/ swag that way, Thibs kills their passion for the game, they have 0 involvement/ investment in the team's success
