Brunson was playing great before he got injured and was an all star starter so that’s not fair at all

OG mentioned as better. Hart has had some triple doubles and was a bench player last year now playing an expanded role idk if he’s been that much worse. McBride’s been having groin stuff all year but he’s always been mid

brunson was 5th in mvp voting last year. is he even top 10 this year ? i don't think so.

I dunno but he wasn’t an all star starter last year and missing those 15 games probably knocked him down a peg in such MVP conversations but I’d like to know where he was before that. He was having a great season though as far as I’m concerned

Proud of you for taking the journey of weight loss. I know it hard and long road but we're rooting for you.

I just completely spaced it. And I'm glad cause this seems depressing af. Team is playing horrible going into the playoffs and just lost to the potential first round matchup after getting beat by the Cs on their hc. And Brunson stats look rough. This sucks.

At least we can look forward to paying mikal a huge contract in the offseason.

i don't think he was top 5 before the injury. it's not like he's bad now. don't get it wrong. but if last year was like a 99 out of 100 for him and this year he's more like a 94 that's significant enough to matter.

you can look at it another way.

A completely healthy pistons teams needed an amazing 4th qtr to beat us in there building without 2 of our starters and our rim protector.

I have seen brunson in multiple playoff series to know he will be ready come playoff time. We sometimes we have a long layoff (about a week) after the season is over because of the play-in. What is happening right now shoudn't impact the playoffs.

I will judge this group fully come playoff time.

A video from a month or so ago pointed out that we only had 10 threes by KAT off a screen, that was just mind-boggling.

Well this was the day before the injury and he was 6th. So….. eh.

But as you say if we can’t get back to that 99 pretty quick we might be cooked. He’s like a 50 now

Starting Precious instead of Hart would dramatically improve our defense, rebounding while not hurting our offensive spacing.

they do...but we have sort of seen this before. Hart had a pedestrian season last year then come playoff time he was like our best player vs the sixers.

Brunson after a rough first 2 games vs sixers then just started dropping 40 a night. I'm just glad Brunson is is dealing with this now before the playoffs. He is someone I have full confidence will respond. We know OG plays well in the playoffs. Mikal has a lot of playoff experience under his belt. KAT as well.

This team has no business losing or making a series close with DET.

OG on Cade will make a huge difference.

also god forbid we run Mikal off a down screen and hit him moving towards the middle of the basket and brunson hits him. Have KAT screen for him. Either the big over commits to help the defender or Mikal gets an open middy. If the big overcommits then KAT can just flair out to the 3pt line for an open 3.

We run no actions and it just is Brunson bail us out offense at the end of the game (it works a lot because he's an elite closer)...but right now Brunson is off and thibs is getting exposed.

 it's not about anyone specific. i don't miss randle spinning into double teams and bricking in the playoffs. but the team just doesn't have the same energy. it's missing something. the chemistry is not the same. even some of the guys that were here last year don't seem the same. there's something off.

divincenzo is that missing guy. that dude is lowkey fiery and edgy
