Wasn't expecting anything different today. Their threes were eventually gonna start falling. They were playing with their backs against the wall and were clearly the more desperate team.

We did a good job switching above the arc and keeping pressure on their shooters first 2 games. I saw a lot of drop coverage today for some reason. Thibs also didn't have any answers for Mazzula today and was out coached.

Sucks that Boston got out of their offensive slump before us. That being said we are still up 2 to 1 and have still at least two more games to be played on the road.

To be fair, I have to wonder what Thibs or any coach would have been able to do with Brunson playing the way he did today.

The coach is important, but coaching is still no substitute for floor generalship. Brunson was neither competent at the point today nor his killer self either.

Sometimes we can get away with Brunson frittering away the first half because he is usually so solid in the home stretch, but this was his worst game in a long time and he had very little to contribute.

I don't expect that to happen two games in a row.

JB?

I think he means Kat

KAT was not an All-Star without Thibs?

Pritchard and Tatum each had 5 threes. Knicks as a team had 5 threes. Ya not our best game. Just got to win one at MSG. Got another chance Monday.

Start Mitch and KAT. Our desired result in defense is seeing a Celtic player try to shoot a jumper over anyone of these two’s outstretched arms so one of them will be able to patrol and get the defensive rebound. If they get beat, Mikal and OG are good enough help defenders that can also protect the rim. JB will be the only person in the team that needs help in defense in this regard.

Haha nice one I was thinking about this as well.

In 2013 when we were up 3-0 versus the Celtics I got nervous and said not again versus Boston! Good thing Melo and Shump were clutch in Game 6.

I know it will never happen and taking out Hart will suck in other areas. But I think its so vital to start game 4 off well offensively. That you need to have McBride play more with the starters. We need to force Mazzulla's hand to either put Horford on KAT (which he won't). Or put Horford on Mcbride/OG/Bridges...

that way when we run the Brunson P&R with KAT or a KAT post up they won't be able to help or they will get an open 3 pt shot.

We will lose size and will probably be killed on the glass. But I think tis vital to get off to a better start offensively. That has been the biggest issue.

Much rather play Hukporti than Mitch at this point, maybe the worst basketball player getting minutes in the playoffs.

Ya know there's a reason why Mazzula keeps doing hack-a-Mitch. Celtics realize Mitch is our biggest weapon. He has the best +/- of the series and our net rating is excellent when he's on the floor. They hack him to force Thibs to take him out of the game. Yes, it sucks he can't make his FTs but the man is single handedly keeping us in games.

We do not run enough P&R with JB and KAT and we do not post up KAT as much as we do in good enough positions. I cannot see Thibs doing that now. For Thibs, KAT being able to space the floor is already a win.

More of JB pounding the clock out of the ball with his first option to pass to when he is trapped is Josh Hart. Our fortunes in offense are tied to OG and Mikal showing up.
