I'm waiting patiently for the day that we can pursue Paige in free agency. Bring her back home

Yes, bring her back home to CT.

It seems like the Boston move talk was premature too.

I just made a post about it on the WNBA board

What a bunch of dicks, now they're saying it can't be sold and relocate to Hartford because Hartford didn't bid for expansion either

They're just being greedy at this point, if the Sun leave and Boston gets a team, there is no way they will ever accept another team in CT.

You already know I'm not a fan of the league front office for several reasons. This whole thing is shady

I know I'm biased but I legit think moving the team to Hartford is the best solution for everyone, except Boston fans in the short term

The Sun have a great fanbase already, moving to closer to where the people live would only help that, PeoplesBank is a legit arena (15k seats after renovations, so not as big as NBA arenas but not that far off), the tribe still gets the same amount of money (a little less but not by a ton), and the league shows good faith by rewarding a fanbase which has stuck by through the bad times

And Boston would still eventually get a team, just not for like a decade or so, except it gets to be wholly theirs from the start

I just know that if the team goes to Boston, we're never getting another one. Cause CT is too small to justify expanding to, but Boston will always have the ability to be a market

Funnily enough, this is sort of the reverse of what happened with the Patriots in the 90s, they wanted a new stadium, Boston didn't want to give it to them, so they were all set to move to Hartford to share with UConn, and then Foxborough swooped in at the last second so now the UConn football team plays at a stadium 45 minutes away from campus for no reason, which had to be scaled down because it was no longer gonna be shared with an NFL team.

I could understand Boston, I would hate it but I would understand it, but the W trying to force the Sun to Houston is absolutely vile work

And saying they won't allow a sale without the new ownership paying a relocation fee regardless of where they move is just extortion. Like, here's a fun fact, the Dallas Wings currently play in College Park Center, in Arlington. They are potentially moving to American Airlines Center, in Dallas, which is 22 miles away

Mohegan Sun arena to the XL Center in Hartford is 44 miles away. So why aren't the Wings required to pay a relocation fee too?

It's also absurd because Fertitta was already at least $50 million short of the $250 million expansion fee last year, and you expect me to believe he's got not only the $325 million to match the Hartford and Boston offers (Hartford group recently said they had found the money to match the Boston group), but he has what, another $100 million to pay the league to relocate?

What a bunch of bullsh*t this all is. F*ck this league, CT invested in the W when they were a fledgling org, we sent countless stars to the league through UConn, now the W is giving us and Mohegan the middle finger. No way this doesn't end in lawsuits if the tribe is forced to sell to Houston, and no way they get away with saying Hartford would be a relocation, it's the same damn market.

I said it to you on the W forum, but the Tribe needs to sue the NBA.

Also, if Houston's owner is too broke to afford expansion fees, that's a bad sign. Keep the team in CT.

It's really something how the Sun have managed to drag themselves up from that awful start of the season to be just normal bad, while Chicago has just been consistently awful

Net rating by month for the Sun:
May: -17.4 (13th in the league, Sky were 12th at -12.9)
June: -25.9! (13th, Sky were 12th at -10.1)
July: -5.3 (11th, worst were the Sky at -16.4)
August: -6.7 (10th, worst are the Sky at -13.8)

Overall the Sun still have the worst Net in the league at -14.9 on the season, but they're not that far ahead of Chicago at -13.3. I'm also just gonna say, she isn't gonna be a big name, but it's no coincidence that the improvement started the moment Leila Lacan started playing

Kinda sucks they don't have their 1st this year, but they should probably still be bad next year, so maybe the timing will work out to get Juju when she declares (hopefully fully recovered from her injury)

Also hopefully they're still in CT in 2 years.

They talk a lot of sh*t and got away with multiple fouls in the paint. Sabrina had to teach them a lesson. That was a mean 17 and 11, those driving dishes to Meesemen cutting in the paint were beautiful.

Burke was all over the court last night. Just a great effort and we needed all 8 of her points too with the bench being decimated.

She is but we have to hope that her heart lies in this area :-?

Too bad we can't draft Azzi Fudd, that would be enough incentive for Paige to play in NY
