Thabeet got destroyed, I must admit... just an off game. He's still a beast on most days, and will bounce back.

His One-Dimensionalism may be the death of him. He needs a Big Man's coach so bad. He's totally Raw offensively. Snacks has better skills around the rim than this kid.

Pitt outplayed Uconn for sure, but the refs suck...

Imagine if Blair had Thabeets size...OMG.

So you're saying imagine if Thabeet had actual basketball skills...

I think people need to realize that Thabeet began playing basketball at the age of 16... that makes it 6 years of actually playing the sport itself, yet he's dominating big men who've been playing basketball since they were 6 six. One off game doesn't make him soft or "one-dimensional"

Don't worry about people, they just love to bash players and say they suck. You'll have time to call them out later if need be.

We get it. We get it. He's been playing ball for only 6 years, and is never going to get any faster to the point where he can get up court with NBA players. He's struggling to get up court with Pitt.

The game plan was to run every chance they get and go right at Thabeet. Young and Blair scored 90% of the points in the first half, and Thabeet had 2 points and 1 block!

at best thabeet is gonna be a 9 ppg, 8 rpg, 2 bpg player with horrible man to man defense but very good help defense.

iono man, this guy has been abused by Monroe and now Blair... and his team lost both games. He seems to have trouble against pro caliber players. That doesn't bode well. . if he can't body his peers in college how will he fare banging against the Yao's, Duncans, and Howards... or even David Lees of the world?

Yeah, let's just exclude all the other teams who Thabeet has owned on the way to maknig UConn a top 3 team in the nation. Let's just ignore that fact that in a recent game the Syracuse frontcourt shot 5-21 against Thabeet. Let's just ignore that, and put two isolated cases at the forefront and judge Thabeet on that solely.

For f*cks sake

Yea, but Seton Hall doesn't have any NBA caliber bigs. Don't act like NCAA comp night in and night out is going to provide a steady level of opposition. Of course Thabeet is going to have very good games over the course of the season. Fact remains that when he goes up against bigs who have an NBA style of play, he gets abused. In tonight's case, he got absolutely assraped. Without KY. And Blair is showing the video to his family in his own living room. That's how bad Thabeet got his lunch stolen tonight.

Name me one team in the NBA that doesn't have a big at least as good as Greg Monroe or Dejuan Blair. Especially at this point in their development. No such thing. Thabeet _has_ to show he can man up against that sort of competition. Right now, he's 1-2 this season since he did have a good game against Clark...

I am pretty sure that Thabeet puts up good numbers against inferior competition and then lays an egg against good teams. I don't follow it that closely, but i remember looking at his stats and seeing this.

Thank goodness you guys don't draft for the Knicks ---

Thabeet is an outright STUD -- stop with the silly-ness.

Maybe he has some trouble with some smaller scorers (Blair and Harangody) that are able to get into him quickly or move on the perimeter and score the ball BUT he will learn from this and improve there. Many big men struggle with this --- see D-Lee run the pick and roll around Yao Ming or Amare Stoudamire average 35 points a game vs. Tim Duncan.

Bottom line Thabeet rules the paint and will do so in the NBA.

His ability to run the floor is totally underrated -- there is no reason he can't flourish running the floor in the pros. UConn and there core of gunning undersized point guards is the worst feed the post team in college basketball. D'Antoni would have a field day getting dunks for Thabeet.
