He's an RFA, those will appear to be overpays 100% of the time if the signing team is legitimately trying to acquire him.

What a logical, sound argument. Kudos to you.

Nobody is going to give us sh*t for Lee now that we're essentially forced to trade him because we'll now have two starting SGs.

Your not forced to trade him? You could slide him over to the 3 once Melo is out the picture, and a productive 2-way player on a decent contract is definitely worth a first rounder. I mean look at the previous post with people saying Celtics should get a first for Smart/Crowder/Bradley but they technically HAVE to trade for it. I could see a team like the Spurs, Clippers trading for him.

Would any team believe that they would need to trade a 1st rounder for Lee after they gave Hardaway that deal with a trade kicker? Even the Hawks - a good organization - were thinking $45M for THJ.

Knicks & David Griffin have had conversations over the past few days right?
What if one of the questions was something like "What young player in free agency do you feel would fit the current Knicks team greatly?" & he said Tim Hardaway Jr. Lol

At this rate, the Knicks will go on trading an unprotected first round pick for Marcus Smart.

Maybe two if the Celtics pushes the Knicks limits.

I don't mind it. if he can drop 18 a game for us I will be happy. I'm kind of in the balance about this

No!
He's a DOWNGRADE!

Holiday played defense and passed

Hardaway just stands there waiting to get a dish so he can jack up a three

God i hope hes improved significantly

i don't even like the signing (clearly) but there is no way hardway is a downgrade from justin friggin holiday. ya'll need to quit it with this holiday hype.

Yeah he's obviously a better player. But man I'd rather have Holiday for 2/9 than Hardaway for 4/45 honestly

I'm over this...hopefully the Melo situation gets resolved, Frank is able to have a nice rookie season, and KP continues his ascension

That's somewhat true. RFA always get overpaid in offer sheets.

He is young, his prime is coming up, and he's close enough in age to Willy and KP to be overlapping primes.

I'm slowly talking myself in. More highlights Greenie. By 2 AM I'll be there.

I think I'd rather have Timmy than Gallo at 21. He blows.
