Does the Nassau County Exective get to appoint an Attorney General? You'd be very qualified for that. Could you also prosecute people who troll on the Knicks board, or will you have to limit yourself to investigating Russian interference in the Nassau County elections?

The CE can appoint a County Attorney. Nice job. AG is for when you become Governor BKlutch.

I knew your legal opinion would come in handy. There are also times when there might be value to your illegal opinion.

They have zero doubt Trump is going to lose so now they're making a false show of courage in the bottom half of the 9th inning to try and create some distance from Trump. The GOP had four years to speak up so fukemall.

I hope someone plays that recording on the floor of the Senate and then point out that Sasse chose to acquit Trump during impeachment and he’s voting to confirm his SC judge.

And he voted to examine the new Justice, too. Will probably vote for her. Just distancing himself from Trump because, you know, that guy is totally crazy and it's not good for right or left if the country completely falls apart.

Ben Sasse tries to sell himself as the rational alternative to Trump. No crazy behavior, same damnable policies.

Fukemall? I think we need some Dammitall - helps politically induced indigestion.

Biden was asked about revenge and about prosecuting Trump. He stated revenge is never good in politics and he won't do it. Then he said HE would not prosecute Trump, because the president is not supposed to ever tell the Justice Department what to do. But he would appoint the strongest prosecutors in the country and allow them to make that decision based on the law.

In other words, Trump is going down.

Trump might have finally found the issue he needs to close the gap with this “QAnon is against p*deophil*a” line of attack. Broadly appealing and important message. Comeback incoming.

If it's a clear Biden victory from the beginning, then I expect Trump to resign and Pence to pardon him of any/all federal crimes.

That, however, still leaves Trump vulnerable to NYS crimes like tax fraud, securities fraud, bank fraud, campaign finance crimes, etc.

It is the perfect answer, because it is morally correct and affirms the proper role of the President while allowing for justice to be served. IOW, Trump's mafia will pay, but not because Biden is a vindictive bastard, but because they are criminals.

That's the version of Cenk I can deal with.

Biden's going to make a massive difference pretty within weeks of taking over. Still, too many Americans are ignorant and bullies and won't cooperate so we're still going to be the laughing stock of the world, but at least we should become more functional in spite of all of the idiots

I think Cenk is a little like me, so your post makes sense.

We just want this POS gone. I'm so tired of listening to his damn voice and "verbiage" every day. I'm at the same point with Trump now as I was with George W. after 8 years. I can't even listen to the mofo's voice.

The states, unlike the US gov, cannot print USdollars so it does have a balance sheet that can have a surplus or shortfall of them. So they levy all sorts of ways of getting that money from the people in or coming to or doing business in their state so it can do the business of being a State.

The federal government wants to act like it's doing the states such a gracious act in giving it money to cover for that shortfall. The thing is that money is collected from people in this states, Some presidents like to complain about states like NY and CA as if they are a burden but citizens of those states contribute to 2 of the 3 largest federal income tax paying states to the US gov revenue.

So it seems to me there is a complete disconnect of what is really going on here. I agree that some states will be like NY and CA making the US gov the most money while lots of others states that I won't mention maybe hurt any feelings but contribute significantly less.

Yet all the states share in the overall prosperity and benefit of the collective....the
'united states of America'. Since the states live in this economic ecosystem...?...the fedgov is constitutionally bound to promote the general welfare of it's citizens which all the states are.

So the fed gov does collect and recycles money into the states in a way that can have a smoothing effect on the economy over time. I think there could even be less fed and more state proportional on the churn because imo it's too fed heavy.

It really doesn't matter to the fedgov whether you call them new dollars created after the debt was 0'd or collected ones given back/spent but the state is different with their 'collected' revenue within the US economy.

So states are not like the country in how it's economy works, it's more like a business than a country.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

That's a good description. I never thought I could hate a President more than Dubya but here I am.
