Right now the Knicks don't possess the following:

A starting NBA PG
A starting NBA wing
A real backup Center

And honestly, there is probably an argument for another veteran wing, but that's less likely.
Oh, and Vildoza is unproven running the NBA point, McBride is rookie and IQ isn't a PG. But we can assume one of those are the backup PG.

I would prefer Reggie Jackson, Cam Payne, or Collin Sexton over Schroder. I'm hoping the Knicks interest in him is a smokescreen. The Knicks I feel like would be more interested in CP3, or Kyle Lowry. CP3 is probably staying, and the competition for Kyle Lowry is going to fierce.

I don't buy that Ball didn't want to come to N.Y., I think the Knicks just weren't that interested in him. The Knicks may try to only hand out 1-3 Year contracts this offseason, but I'm not sure if they can get away with that. Players are only going to want to come here if they can get paid.

I'm really interested in seeing what the Knicks do this offseason. I feel like there are bad choices than good ones, and it'll reveal a lot about how good the front office is.

The only place I defended them was in the post where you whined about them trading pick #19. I explained why they did it. Will it work out? Who knows. Maybe they will miss on a player. I think most drafts are kind of random once you get back the mid teens anyway. IF the Knicks got scouts etc who are good, then with THIS draft, which had good depth, there's a chance the guys they picked at 25 and 36 are about as good as what was at 19 and 21.
I'd have preferred they traded up, but they didn't.

Also, this post is just me speculating on why the rumored Sexton trade didn't happen, if it was ever really a thing anyway. And then I add it's also possible Perry and Aller suck. Some defense. I suggest no one hire me as a defense lawyer. Stick with Wingo.
