I just wish when we traded out at 26 we got another 2nd rounder in this draft instead of all future 2nds with super complicated protections. I hope we find a way to move up from 51 using a pick. It does sound like we’re around 20 million under the 2nd apron though. So unless Ihart gets blown away we should still be able to offer him a contract.

yeah, because it's so much more fun to stay up in the middle of the night watching teams pick obscure euros and watching grainy "highlights" from old handheld recorders in empty gyms.

It’s weird that HD cameras haven’t made it to Eastern Europe yet. Even the last time I was Italy their news shows looked like they were filmed on potato’s.

Why do you want another 2nd round pick in this year's draft? This is supposedly the worst draft in a while.

They did. They got 51. Oh wait, that was trading out of 24.

Still, that's 2 picks in the 2nd round.

Why do you want another 2nd round pick in this year's draft? This is supposedly the worst draft in a while.

Because you need to fill out the roster somehow

Why not take a chance on a guy who might develop instead of signing a 28y-year-old for the vet min when both are gonna sit on the bench anyways?

You know DaQuan Jeffries isn't gonna play, and isn't gonna be good when he does, if you draft a kid in the 2nd, that's the worst case scenario, but best case scenario, you get a guy who can play. Zero risk, potentially medium reward.

It’s really just terrible at the top and there’s a bunch of decent role players left. Plus I’d rather fill out the 11-15 rotation spots with prospects instead of vet minimum guys.

At this point, I would rather start signing guys like Kyle Lowry, Jeff Green's of the world than see DaQuan Jeffries.

Yeah, he's being satirical about not going drafted, but not about the poor test. Took me too long to figure that out last night at like 2:30 AM.

Well yeah

But those guys aren't gonna sign on to be the 15th man. You could probably get them to be the 11th or 12th man, say they're just emergency players but if someone goes down they'll for sure play, but you do have to fill out the roster somehow with guys who won't play. I would rather have a couple of 2nd round picks or UDFAs on the deep bench than say, Mamadi Diakite. Even if those picks are guys like Trevor Keels, at least you took a shot.

I still believe there are minutes to be had for guys like Kyle Lowry, Burks, etc.

Thibs might not give McBride complete control of backup PG duties and a 3rd center is much needed if we keep Mitch.

I think Lowry still wants consistent minutes so he will be hard to get. I think Jeff Green and Kevin Love types will be okay with spot minutes and be ready if someone goes down. I don't see this as a huge problem.

Mitch is better off traded and replaced with a versatile stretch big who can defend some.

Give me Isiah Stewart. Or someone else.

Just get another big who can shoot. That's a major weakness.

Would love to walk away with one of the champs, Cam Spencer or Tristian Newton tonight… along with a big.

Return to New York Knicks
