I think the reason he was allowed in the last BAT was because we did it before the 2012 draft...so it was whoever was drafted in the 2011 draft (or played in the NBA in the 2011-2012 season). So according to the rules of this BAT he would not be eligible to be selected. Would also exclude guys like Sergio Llull who was selected in the 2011 draft and drafted in the lasr BAT.

According to the Rules which i quoted. Any player drafted in the 2011 draft is eligiable. Even those not on an NBA roster. Its in the Rules that it is allowed.

6. But what about Draft Rights? And can we circumvent the rules?

- As long as the selection satisfy the criteria listed under Rule #5 you can choose players whose draft rights a team possesses. So you can draft a player drafted in the 2011 NBA draft but who did not play in the NBA in the 2011-2012 season but you CANNOT draft a similar player that was drafted in the 2010 NBA draft (for example) who was not added to a teams active roster for the 2011-2012 season.

i had plenty of offense off my bench, just needed defense, and a guy that can guard all 5 positions, rare for someone at 6'11.

meh, it was the lockout last season, and prior to that he was hurt for 30 games. but other than that he usually does fine. i'm not worried about it, especially with other guys being picked ahead of him that are more injury prone. 14-20 mins. is all i'd need from jeffries to backup SF/PF

nah Jeffries has missed major time every season going back a while. I also remember reading that the Knicks parted with him cause they believed his knee is shot. I think that is my major criticism of your team right now.. Roy and Camby are going to have to be on limited minues, which is fine in a vacuum because both guys will hopefully play great in their shorten roles. However, Kevin Martin and Jeffries are both near certain to miss extensive time, as they do every year. When that happens, you'll be having half your rotation filled with guys taken in the 12th and 13th round.

I'd say this though... if healthy..

Roy/K Mart/Durant/Ryan Anderson/Camby lineup will be very hard to stop. Big if though.

How can you agree completely when i just posted the rules? The rules clearly state he is eligable. How the hell can yo agree to something that is wrong?

Any player taken in the 2011 draft is eligable. But in 2010 it is not.

as a fellow knicks fan, i'm aware of jeffries knees and injuries. Martin played a full season the year before the lockout, so i'm not too worried. but i do have Roy and Camby on very limited minutes (camby i have less than he received last year, and with seraphin getting 14 and 7, i'm set at Center). but that's why i have roy and jeffries off the bench, as well as camby receiving limited minutes, they're either older or past injuries.

you are right about needing to grab guys that can help fill out rotations in the later rounds, which i am hoping to do. but most judging is only done when it's major injuries (martin and jeffries are fine in that area). Roy, should be fine in limited role, as his isn't an injury, but more that he won't be around in the NBA when he's 34. he had a similar problem, and then the same surgical procedure, as Kobe. so at worst, he'd end up being a "particular ex-knick who is still in the NBA" at age 30+ (3 years of old Roy). we all know he was (is) my favorite player, so i read a lot of articles about he and his injury. he never wanted to retire, the blazers just let him go. and if the Wolves are willing to throw $5 million at him, i'm pretty sure Roy will end up being just fine for a few years, especially after the Regenokine treatment.

but, again, you are right about needing to find rotational guys that can help them, if said scenario arrives. i think i will, so i'm not too worried. but you are right

yeah, there's 1 particular guy i'm very fond of that i'm going after for 321. if i don't get him, you know i'll be pissed about it haha. there may be other guys i could grab, but this one would solidify my win-now team.

because i know Kneega is lazy at times and kneega just copied and pasted without checking the year. doesnt make sense to have 2 Years of Draft classes be considered Rookies. if we are playing that way then i guess 2012 Rookies dont count because the Rules really said nothing about 2012 Draft picks being allowed.

Good pickup BR. Jeffries was 3rd on my list after Mirotic/curry. He fits yoru team well though as long as he can remain healthy. Your team was really hurting for a defensive player. I still think you need more defense though.

Nikola Mirotic and Mehmet Okur are not eligible since they have singed overseas.
