He shot two free throws and walked off the court... A ruptured achilles wouldn't allowed that...

Re: Around the nba part 7
Figured I'd dump this here as it applies to several nba players, but notice how players are viewed in their successes this season.
http://www.nba.com/mvp-ladder/
LeBron.....
STATS FROM LAST WEEK (4/5-4/11): 27.5 ppg | 5.5 rpg | 6.0 apg | 1.5 spg (2 games played)
Active or not for the rest of the Heat's regular season, James has a stranglehold on No. 1. Sore hamstring or not, whenever he is on the floor, he is above everyone, the best and most effective player in the game. In the two games he's played in recently, James shot close to 70 percent, averaged 27.5 ppg, 6.0 apg and 5.5 rpg. With the Heat having already clinched home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, James should be able to get all the rest he needs before the Heat hit the postseason trail.
Notes....MVP stock rose even though he played 2 games this past week...
Durant......
STATS FROM LAST WEEK (4/5-4/11): 28.3 ppg | 8.5 rpg | 6.3 apg | 1.5 bpg
Durant already owns three straight scoring titles. He could have a fourth if he really wanted to focus on it down the stretch of this season. To his credit, Durant's focus is always winning first. And that means he's willing to sacrifice his crown for the greater good, even when the Thunder might need him to be a little more selfish. That said, when he can drop 31 points (on 11-for-16 shooting), 10 rebounds and eight assists the way he did in Thursday night's road win over the Warriors, scoring titles will pale in comparison to the other titles Durant may soon own.
Note...MVP stock rose due to focusing on winning and not so much on the scoring title....
Melo....
STATS FROM LAST WEEK (4/5-4/11): 37.3 ppg | 13.3 rpg | 2.3 apg | 0.0 spg
Anthony needed 34 shots (he made 13 of them) in the loss to Chicago to become the first player to score 35 or more points in six straight April games. The Knicks' streak ending at 13 should have been the bigger story, but Anthony's ongoing battle with Kevin Durant for the scoring title will dominate the weekend. Overlooked in Anthony's scoring binge? He's averaging 10 rebounds a game during his 35-plus point stretch. Anthony might never be anything more than a casual defensive observer, but he's shown that he's capable of more than just scoring.
Notes...MVP stock dropped due to the focusing on the scoring title vs winning although currently is doing both....
CP3......
STATS FROM LAST WEEK (4/5-4/11): 21.5 ppg | 6.0 rpg | 11.5 apg | 3.5 spg (2 games played)
The franchise's first division title is locked up and Paul has delivered on the promise that he would change the Clippers' culture. Paul kicked his game into high gear with the Clippers' needing to sort a few things out for the stretch run. He has averaged 19.8 ppg on 51 percent shooting, 9.6 apg and 4.6 rpg in the Clips' past 10 games. That's how superstars close when division titles and playoff positioning is on the line.
Notes...MVP stock rose, and put up a couple of impressive games and has literally made the Clippers a force...
Pretty intersting how each of these players are viewed.

He used the other foot as a crutch. He wasn't "walking" on it. Anyway Gary Vitti (team doctor) already said it was a 3rd degree rupture. There's nothing worse than that. It's completely gone.

Was reading this article, interesting to see that us and the Heat made approaches to Cedric Jackson. Have watched a bit of him, he's a useful point guard.

Forget the word "rupture"... My point was to refer to "Kobe's achilles injury as not being severe enough" because he could move even with one foot- not to mention stand, shoot free throws, and walk off the way he did...
I was present when my friend had theirs.
It's not only about it tearing -but "WHERE the tear happens" that is important as well. My friend's happened at the base of the heel which complicated the entire incident from injury to recovery. And most importantly they were carried off the ground. Yet, they were walking and rehabbing 3-4 months after surgery. Could have been a lot worse for Kobe...

Forget what you think. What I stated were facts. 3rd degree rupture. Which means no achilles tendon. None. Completely torn. And your friend isn't Kobe.
There is no "worse". The tendon is completely torn. This is a pointless argument. Can't tell if stupid or just stupid.
Let me try to simplify this for you. Take a rubber band. Break it in half. Now tell me does it really matter "where" it was broken? It's broken and no longer does what it's supposed to. It could be exactly in the middle or on the tail end and it won't matter the result is 100% the same.
I'm gonna end this with: You're Wrong.
And leave it at that.

I'm going to end this with you have NO IDEA what the hell you're talking about... I'M EXPERIENCING THIS!

We are in the middle of a LAW SUIT. I have sat down with one of the best podiatrist and surgeons who performed the surgery. But once again, guys take "message board arm chairing" too far...
For the last time: Kobe was very fortunate... But go ahead and get the last word with a forth coming uninformed response -
FIY, I won't participate in trying to educate you on this...

That what I like about Jeff he makes statements that goes to the far side of conventional opinion.
I dont think even he believes half of what he says, just pot stirring at best.
Still a quitter though.

He literally goes off on these insane tangents that are so fun to listen to but you can tell he didn't spend half a second thinking before he said it. Dude is hilarious. Just went in on the Master's for penalizing the 14 year old golf prodigy in the Master's.
But yeah...he's a damned quitter and could only make up for that by coming back and coaching the Knicks to a chip.

If JVG says he want to coach the Knicks again, you throw that bowling ball head of Woodson's into pins and leave it there.

That might have been his best stretch as a Heat player. Drew a couple fouls, put back dunk and a up and under.

woody really is not getting enough credit. i'm a big van gundy fan but i'm not sure he molds melo/jr into what they've become. and his record speaks for itself.
