We make so many excuses for this kid.

you said he was going to get traded a year ago...seems like you have been spot on with that...

the problem is, Frank was taken too high. If he were a 2nd round pick (which is probably where he belonged) no one would care.

Still should have patience. He's here. He has potential. If he gets a solid 3pt shot down he's a great glue guy who can man 1-3 and guard most positions with above average defense. 3&D players have value. It's not as if he has been given any real room to grow or find his place. He's been yanked in and out of the lineup and used in 3 different positions...2 different "systems"....with 2 different coaches in his first 2 seasons.

So let me guess. Even though the FIBA World Cup is from Aug-September, Frank still won't be playing in Vegas Summer League in July right?

Probably worst position to be a project player and for a team to experiment with you is point guard. Your play affects too many other players. I hope Frank can carve out a niche but this looking like a bad pick.

I think being on the court with lesser competition could be a spike for his confidence. All that Instagram Ish ain’t fooling nobody. Take a look at him working on his handle last year lol. Dude looked like Jason White Chocolate Williams with the ball. And none of it translated. He needs to play lots and lots of basketball. He needs to feel like he’s better than everyone on the court.

I'm not one of the top Crow Meisters at RealGM, but I can't lie and deny that I would get a kick out of Frank bustin out just to see all of the looks of disbelief and yammering denials from those who hated on him so hard here

Not predicting anything, just a small wish

Just a stray thought... but if you were working with or for Frank, what advice would you give him ?

"Work on your jumpshot" right ?

It's year 3 of his career.. He's gone from 32% to 29% 3pt%. If he doesn't come in with a fixed jump shot, the Knicks are obliged to let him go because he's nothing but a low ceiling role player.

The jumpshot by far is the area he's best served working at. He's not fast or good enough with the ball in his hands to get to the rack consistently. Spotting up and hitting open 3s while playing good defense will make him playable.

Plyometric training to build more burst on his first step

Scrimmaging against high level talent with the green light to play tighter and more physical than NBA referees typically allow

Practice relentlessly driving to the rim against those rough scrimmage partners and do Fiz's contested layup drills day and night

Practice quick release shooting until he is barely holding the rock and nailing shots from deep

Hypnosis to instill in him a FU mentality, because he can drive and score and he can shoot from deep, but he lacks confidence and he needs to get angry first and not GAF so he can retrain his brain to attack, attack, attack!

He really needs to stop worrying about what anyone else thinks and be selfish enough to conquer his hesitancy to get his own shot off

He just need to keep shooting the ball. He needs to be selfish at times and stay out of foul trouble
there's always a light at the end of the tunnel Frank.

I hope this is the year you'll break that damn wall.

Yes because summer league is traditionally for rookies and unsigned free agents. A second year player will drop in for maybe one game. Third year players dont usually play in summer league.

I know it’s not typical but it can happen. Nate Robinson played FOUR years and won MVP and had his jersey retired. Lol

Might I add, it’s because Nate was a basketball junkie. A guy who always wanted play. Self motivated and driven. Extreme confidence.

I get that but he’s still trying to find his way with the Knicks. Being with the team and coaching staff can only help him. Being distant will get him traded. IMO
