Boston had way more talent around Kyrie this year, only won 49 games

Especially when you factor Kyrie missing 15, 20 games like usual, yeah good chance they make the playoffs, but they'll be a low seed and it'll be down to the last week

Nah that's the perfect team for Kyrie. The Celtics just had a really bad culture, with a bunch of guys who wanted to take shots, even though they're not as good as Kyrie at it. That team knows their role. Not a contender though.

I think they overachieved. I also don't trust Kyrie at all. Perfect storm for a failing season.

What player played over their head? Caris about to break out. He was their best player in the playoffs. Prince > carroll and Kyrie > Dlo

they played .500 ball no mater who was out last year or not. they're not much better this year.

Kyrie a clear upgrade

i agree but how much better as a team are they ? i wouldn't think that much. i think they'll probably make it but they're not a 50 plus win team i don't think. they'll be fighting for it.
