Judge and Sanchez those are 2 totally different levels Sanchez hasn't done anything at the plate all playoffs long as least Judge keeps it interesting.

This next game will put this team to the test. Also if we don’t throw a bag at Cole..

Looking at the weather 100 percent chance of rain, please be true, it would benefit us tremendously, sure it would benefit the Astros and maybe they pitch Verlander in game 4 if thats the case but we would have to face him anyways if we came back in the series.

That's an entirely possible outcome of losing 4 straight. Especially if their bats remain in hibernation due to Houston's pitching.

You can blame this on offense no showing. Cole had them hitting weak fly balls. Not going to win if you're nit getting hard contact. Even when they had RISP, couldn't convert to runs.

Yankees gotta shake this one off and get em tomorrow.

Couldn’t really get anything going, Cole was just walking batters into rallies but he scattered all of our hits. Couldn’t get the big 2 out hit a couple times which was our best chance to get anything going. Cole is the best pitcher in the world, just tough.

Some of you guys honestly need to relax a bit. I know it’s frustrating, but It’s just 2-1 lead. The other guys get paid too and hell they were the favorites to win it all for a reason.

It’s gonna be a long series. Win game 4 and 5 and the pressure is all on them. And we are fully capable of accomplishing that.

Suck it up, vent your frustrations on certain players who deserve it, but stop with this series is over bullshyt. Support the team and don’t be on that lame shyt. Would hate to be on a team with some of y’all if that’s how y’all move.

It must be nice beating a weak ass Cardinals team to get to the world series, however I would give the Nationals a good shot with their 3 aces and Sanchez as their 4th starter.

Yes see the thing about that is , we will give him a record breaking contract and then he ends up sucking here. With our luck he flunks in the playoffs like Kershaw does.

It would benefit them more, we have to face Verlander AND Cole sooner than we should.

Verlander would not pitch 4 they would pitch Greinke

It would be Grienke vs Tanaka

That moves verlander up to friday though and I'd think about not starting Paxton..leftycwith a very right handed lineup

On deeper thought, I dont know if i can even be mad at this team. Houston is clearly the better team here, both pitching and hitting wise. Both Verlander and Coles are having historical season and our pitching overall came very close to matching them.

Some thoughts on our hitter/position players.

Brett Gardner - no disrespect to Gardner but it is time to move on. Yes, he walks, he takes pitches and he has added some power over the past few years but he lacks the ability to hit against good pitching. He post season battling avg is .200 with a. 250 obp. Last time we won a championship in 2009, Gardner was the 9th hitter. Today he is battling 3rd. I'm in no way trying to blame our failure all on Gardner. Heading into this season, he wasnt expected to be more than just the fourth outfielder. I respect his leadership. his hardwork. But something is not right with the picture when Gardner is battling 3rd against verlander and cole.

Hicks - same as Gardner. Great regular season player that can grind out at bats, hit with some powers but just doesnt have the ability to make contact against good pitching. His post season battling average is just as bad as Gardner (much smaller sample size though)

Sanchez - one of the most overrated hitters on our team. Every once in a while he will go on a 30-40 games tear and everyone will proclaim him to be the best hitter on the team, then he will disappear the rest of the season. I dont buy the "if healthy" argument.

So it's Tanaka who will start regardless if the game is played tomorrow night or the next day? And then it's all hands on deck. You can come in with Paxton if need be. But I think Tanaka will rise to the occasion, especially at Yankees Stadium.

This whole series shifted once Aaron Boone took out Chad Green early in game 2. Been downhill momentum since.

So the offense once again has gone MIA in October.

Ahh i see the debbie downers are in full force. Still a long series. These guys have battled all year so I'm expecting them to do exactly what they've always done and come back. We need Stanton back. Boone needs to change the order and we need this rain out today so Tanaka can be our stopper lol
