I like Oubre a lot and he's not that much worse as a prospect than Jaylen. Jaylen B has shown some sort of questionable stuff, though I do like his talent. But Ainge seems to be faltering here.

This was Griffin's statement from 3 months ago. He specifically referenced conditioning, yet I personally couldn't see any difference at all from that inflated version of Zion in SL, and the one that played in the preseason recently.

I mean, looking back on this, they literally got a warning sign, said the right thing, and then apparently didn't take it seriously enough to follow through as an organization. I'd be extremely frustrated with NOP management if I were a Pels fan right now.

Malik Beasley would be so perfect for the Knicks, words wouldn’t do it justice.

So I guess Zion is Randle without hops.

Beasley could be like Josh Richardson if he got the playing time.

Did you hear what Captain Morris wants from the Knicks? Toughness. Malik won’t fit our culture after the weekend

Didn't he get his ass beat by some NFL player recently?

Red shirt Zion like Ben Simmons. I don’t want to see such a special player like him be plagued with injuries. Get his conditioning and mechanics right and have him go at it next year.

me and gonyk might be the only guys who agree with management it seems. you have spots for max deals, those spots go to superstars. if you spend 5 mill less than a max on a guy, you still lost a max deal that could go to a star. all that does it give you a little extra for role players. so no sabonis, no buddy hield, no jaylen brown, no nothing. these are the type of deals that small market teams have to make to just stay relevant. but those teams don't even really except to compete for championships, they're just filling the building. they take what they can get. our building is filled no matter what. and no, guys like this can't always be easily traded for an expiring. they're young so they're all shiny and new now, but after a year or two everyone will realize they're glorified role players at near superstar cost. the market won't be that great unless they actually become stars. they're all being paid somewhat on potential.

it's the one thing that makes me not hate this management. after the hardaway fiasco, they seem to have figured this out. besides drafting well, it's the most important management can do. not give out these kind of deals.

Jesus. This situation is absolutely horrifying. There was definitely worry in the analysis of him before the draft, but holy sh*t he got pulled from SL and then didn't even make it to the regular season of his rookie year before a significant knee surgery.

I never feel bad for fans of other teams or opposing players because it's sports and f*ck everyone that's not with me, but this is the closest I've come. After that tweet and this video below, what is the absolute BEST you can realistically/objectively hope for as a NOP fan if his skill pans out in the league? 5 dope years with 2-3 of them as a transcendent player?

And if I recall correctly this gait/standing situation (valgus) is exactly the stuff that led to a poster specifically calling Porzingis' ACL tear months before it happened.

I am so glad I'm not being put through this as a fan right now.

Wow, they probably could already start to write the Zion 30 for 30.....
