its crazy it happened so quickly...the lottery was going status quo for the first 9 picks and right when my memphis pick dropped to 8 I was like oh boy two teams just jumped :lol:

I got a pm from someone looking to trade up, then I checked, and bam

I'm not even gonna be coy about it. Nobody blows me away with an offer before the draft, Wiseman is gonna be a Laker

ANNOUNCEMENT

Congrats to K-DOT and the LA Lakers for winning the lottery as well as the rest of the lottery teams. After going through every trade involving a 2020 draft choice, I have the order set now. Please check to make sure their are no discrepancies, there were 119 trades involving 2020 draft picks/swaps so to say it is confusing to keep track of is an understatement. Each team is responsible for their own draft choices. I will make an announcement in the next few weeks regarding the draft but if I don't hear anything from anyone regarding potential errors in the draft order listed below, then this order will be final. Reminder: the salary for each draft slot is listed in the rules page on the first page of the Mega Thread. Any questions, let me know.

I did go back an look at some of your draft talk and did see that your would take Wiseman first...makes sense!

Shame we didn't get to see a full season of him in college

It's kinda like last year with Zion, nobody really got good enough to challenge him for #1 imo. Ant made a decent case, but it's not enough, and LaMelo is just way too much of a project to go #1 for me. Obi has that elite efficiency, but he's a full 3 years older than Wiseman and I feel like you can get someone that does almost what he does much later, while there really isn't anyone else can get you almost what Wiseman does

It makes sense especially for your team if Garland is going to be a main piece for you finding him a rim running big with rim protection will really help out. And that is his floor. If he develops into more than that (adds that consistent shooting potential) it will be gravy because you know you will get pts/boards/blocks at a minimum.

I was going to take him at #3 because he does fit so well next to MPjr to have that rebounding/rim protecting big. But I figured he might be the #1 pick especially if a team already had a guard too.

Wiseman and Garland is a nice duo.

I said before the series you were a bad matchup for him. Embiid is a problem and Favors has no chance vs him.

I think swiss only hole was facing a skilled powerful big man. Indy took them to 7 games with KAT. And Embiid is next level and just abusing Favors.

Yeah, Swiss did a poor job at analyzing who he needs to beat in the conference when building his team. He should've prioritized size knowing KAT and Embiid are his main competitors in the conference.
