Yeah, I was so wrong about that. I didn't think we could put it together quickly enough to give Jimmy the support he needed, but right now if we had Jimmy instead of RJ we'd be one of the title favorites. Hopefully it works out and we can get a title-caliber #1 with more gas left in the tank, but man would we be in great shape if that had happened.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Don't be too upset about it...the Knicks were a laughingstock back then and didn't have any semblance of success.....even if they were interested, odds of getting him were probably close to zero...

His contract also conveniently fits perfectly for a swap with Fournier who obviously Wemby may have interest in playing with early in his career. Maybe sweeten the pot with the Mavs or our first from this year and chuck Deuce in there and something could happen. Seems like they prefer Vassell to Keldon and want to cash out on Keldon while they can.

It's an interesting thought at least.

Klay is COOKED man and looking to get one last payday... Can't really defend anymore and never was a creator off the dribble. He's effectively become the Knicks version of Fournier at this point.

Say what you want about Grimes, but he's pretty integral to our perimeter defense being ok. We lose him for a guy like Klay at this juncture of his career and you can say goodbye to any chance of having an above average defense IMO especially with Mitch Rob out until at least February...

His 3-point % is at a career 36,4% which is not bad. His field-goal percentage is at a career 47% which is pretty good. Keep in mind that he is pretty young, his contract is good and he has been playing on the Spurs....With all the attention on Brunson and Randle here, he may even get more shots and further improve his effectiveness.......usually, as a primary scorer on a bad team your % suffer....his shooting form is pretty solid....I really wouldn't rule out a jump in shooting % on a better team.

What is is his defense like? To me his offensive stats look like what we hoped RJ would become....18points on 47%/36%....solid effectiveness...he is a very good rebounder and solid passer as well....plays off the ball...really wouldn't mind him..

Can anyone post what his 3-point % is on open 3 pointer?

That's fair. I figured the Knicks could let Klay expire and free up SG minutes for IQ/Donte/and, to some extent, RJ. Klay without defense is not worth it. It sucks he's fell off that much but at least it could be a cheap expiring contract.

Jalen Green for RJ Barrett. both are struggling this season but Jalen is a much more natural athelete and gifted scorer. I would take the gamble.

He is a beast. His numbers somehow hide that he is or was somewhat an inconsistent player. I don’t when that changed…

It looks so, at first it seemed like both sides were willing to let bygones be bygones but after Reddish it seems both sides have given up on ignoring the agency competition between Klutch and CAA.

If the Knicks can manage to get Mikal Bridges I'd change my oldest daughters name to Leon.

Yeah, like Jalen says in the piece, if Mikal were in any other city we'd be clamoring for that trade. But it's just a dream barring something miraculous. He really would be the perfect piece...the Knox pick will always be my least favorite of the busts :banghead:
PG- Haliburton | Schroder | Sasser
SG- Grimes | Dick | Bogdanovic
SF- Bridges | George

This isn't good. At all. That means certain opportunities will be blocked.

Oh no, this is adults acting like a business. Think like your health insurance preferred networks...

I just don't get how it really works. I mean, my agent works for me and their job would be to get me the most/best deal based on my criteria. Cutting off half the league at any given time is just spiteful to myself...

If it were not for that lawsuit OG would be here already.

I still say that Dorian Finney Smith might be obtainable near the deadline. The Nets are going to have to resign Nic Claxton.

What if we can facilitate Mitchell to Brooklyn?

There is no instance in any of the infinite multiverse realities where the Nets trade for Mitchell and decide to trade Bridges to the Knicks. Why on earth would they do that? Let's pair up Mitchell with Spencer Dinwiddie and not the guy on the value deal.

The only silver lining to Nj getting Dmitch is that it would definitely get Leon and Co Fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Return to New York Knicks
