i can guarantee you right now it doesnt work.

we wont have enough minimums on this roster to work. stop with the pipedreams. Unless the new CBA allows for contracts to be re-negotiated in good faith paul is not coming.

I was saying that was best case sitiuation. That may bea pipe dream. But we can find PG in the draft or sign a MLE for one that does the same thing felton does. The point i was making was Gallo and Fields are 10 times more valueable the felton.

stop peddling it.

under the current rules it wont happen. unless the cba drastically changes it wont happen.

and the last thing the new cba will do is to concentrate power to the upper echelon markets.

I really just think you have trouble reading...I said even if we dont get paul or williams (IF WE DONT!!!) I would still make the deal because PG are overrated in this system and Felton is more of a product of the system and we could easily find a replacement. Gallo and Fields I want to leave out of the deal. Can u understand that?

Wait a second, how can Denver franchise tag Anthony in a new CBA when his current contract allows him to opt out after the season. Once he opts out Denver no longer holds his rights.

You cannot "franchise tag" a players who rights you do not hold, period!

Do you think Douglas can just step in and average 17/9?

getting very testy around here. look if walsh doesn't like the deal, dolan is likely to overrule him anyway. don't worry, melo is coming. just worry about what we give up.

3p% 33% 45%
ft% 86% 90%
TO 3.24 2.43
STL 1.78 2.54
Reb 3.6 4.0
wins 26 32

Did this guy really just tell us to look at the numbers. I did and i figured out Chris Paul is substantially better.

I never said Felton was substantially better. I never suggested Felton was better at all. I think most got the point I was trying to make. He has taken a step back. But he is not as bad as people are making him out to be. And I provided a reason as to why he has taken a step back. Whats the problem?

The problem is you dont use Feltons name in the same breath as Chris Paul.

I agree.

If those reports were true last week about Dolan calling Kroenke then you know Dolan wants Melo here badly and doesn't want to go thorugh another summer of hoping again.

Ur talking about our backup PG of course over the long haul of the season he wouldn't put up those numbers because he is not a true PG. But if I remember correctly at the end of the season for a large sample of game Tony Douglass was putting up 20-8 games for the knicks. My personal belief if you throw in any pretty decent PG....perfect example (ridnour, andre miller, jameer nelson, johnny flynn, stephen curry, deven harris (not even a pg) and the list could go on and on would avg close to 17-9 for a season. I am pretty confident they would come close to those numbers. Thats my point!

I, for one, think Douglas can easily average 17/9 as a starter.

The answer to this question is that the people who are claiming we could have gotten this done weeks ago aren't intelligent. Or at the very least, aren't applying their intelligence.

I agree that their wasnt ever a deal to be done. blatant lie that Stephen A spewed talking to a caller. I wish I had a recording because he stuttered for a second, realized what he said, and then went with it.

But you cant call people unintelligent just because you dont agree with what they are saying, thats uncool. I think a deal gets done, but there is always a chance it doesnt. nobody really knows whats been discussed and what hasnt. nobody on this board.

even the clown quoting stories as if they are his own. ya you know who you are.

So if I look at a list of unavailable PG's, except Flynn who isn't good, they could potentially put up what Ray is putting now?

Felton, Billups Could Be Added To Carmelo Deal
Feb 11, 2011 15:40 PM EST

Recent rumors indicate that the Nuggets would like the Knicks to include Raymond Felton in a package for Carmelo Anthony, with Chauncey Billups ending up in New York as part of the deal as well.

The New York Post reports that Donnie Walsh and the Knicks are not currently considering the suggestion.

Billups doesn't have a guaranteed contract for next season, meaning New York would be able to waive him and acquire additional cap space.

Since Denver wants Felton now would y'all do something like this?

Outgoing: Curry, Felton, Gallo, Chandler Randolph

Incoming: Melo, Billups, Flynn/Rubio

Then we opt out of Billups' contract and sign Gasol in the summer

PG: Rubio/Flynn
SG: Fields
SF: Melo
PF: Amare
C: Gasol

Thanks you someone who actually makes sense! Any PG can shoot 15-18 shots a game and score 17 points its not the f*ing hard. Paul has a much better shooting %, plays much better defense, and turns the ball over less with less possessions.

Im sure many pg shooting numbers, TO numbers, and defense is much better then felton so dont say we are just comparing felton to the best pg because thats not fair doesn't work.

You are right, which is why I softened it to that they aren't applying their intelligence. Either way, they are wrong. And that has nothing to do with whether or not we agree.
