I don't think money, at least salary, is at the heart of this.
He wants that extension but he wants NYC more.
The Nuggets have boxed themselves into a corner.
The man that now owns the Nets does not come off like the kind of man to beg.
I don't think he'll want the perception of him surrendering every asset NJ has (sans Lopez)
for a guy that clearly does not want to play for him.
And Melo hasn't held out for all this time to now relent.

You know something? The longer this goes, the more likely that he actually has a "Decision" like special of his own. He loves the attention. And that....frightens me a bit. So Denver, stop playing around and distracting the fans away from this great basketball season we are in the midst of. Do right by your superstar. Do right by your fans and franchise. Trade Melo to the Knicks for a reasonable package. Now. In the summer we have a TPE and a 2nd round pick with your name on it.
