I hate Dolan as much as the next guy primarily due to the fact he rather make money than win a championship. However in this situation the financial move would be to keep Lin and let MSG stock rise and get huge endorsement deals from Asian companies. It would still make up for Lin's contract money. But rather it seems Dolan is making the basketball move in this situation which I kind of applaud.

You would have to be a moron to pay Lin that much or let him cost you that much, you have to be an idiot based on 25 games to pay him 14 million in yr
if it is that big of a deal, trade him in year 3
then again, we paid 180 million for a lottery team so it shouldn't be a big deal....

Basketball move would mean not letting a good young player walk and getting nothing in return.

Houston ain't New York. No one will care if he goes through a few weeks of great stats, or where that team goes like they would the Knicks.. And I doubt the off the court stuff is as nearly lucrative as what NY brings.
It don't matter... they already have the asian market cornered. He misses nothing if he plays in Houston... maybe the fans. Same court.. same game.
You think because they have an "asian market cornered" that it will be equivalent to playing in New York and the stage that brings? Not a chance.
Unless he comes out of the gates blasting and causes media to watch him due to the Rockets getting off to a great start, it won't be what it would have been here.. They'll follow him a little, highlight him when they show the rockets, but unless theyrre extraordinarily good it won't be covered like it would have been had mr LINsanity attempted to right the Knick ship... He'll slowly fade if a big bang isn't sparked.[/quote]
you are grossly underestimating his pull in the asian market.

I think he's gone. I thought the PR backlash would change their mind. But looking at all the people on this board who seem to be ACTIVELY ROOTING for us not to match Lin, it's occurred to me that our fan base is too dumb to appreciate Lin. NY fans are all about the fake hustle chuckers like Felton and Crawford cause it goes with NY's identity as street ball capital of the world.

The same Lin who Melo and Tyson told "don't risk it if you're not ready". Maybe you should blame those two instead of Lin.

How about the same Lin playing 45 minutes a night while two max stars were out and subsequently saved our season? The 8-15 mark could've easily turned into 8-22 had Linsanity not happened.

Yeah, only saved the season. Aren't you the one who started the "Lin is the worst player in Knicks history" thread?

Feltons body of work is better for a longer period of time the lins he has also been able to play long minutes for a longer period of time. He also measured up to be a better athlete then Lin hence the draft position
Look your lin fan I get it but hate on Felton why tell me he sucked so bad last time he was here? what did he do kill your cat or something?
