I have contempt, outright, savage contempt for everyone associated with this decision. They should all be fired - and no, now with Lin no longer that elusive wild card, rest assured that this franchise will not win an NBA championship over the next several seasons.

They don't have a prayer to hang with Miami, Chicago, Oklahoma City, etc. These morons have just permanently cemented their competitive ceiling in place.

You stated it well. Lin is someone with a high ceiling...high enough to be a real difference maker. Not a sure thing, but a player you have to keep because he gives you a chance.

Knicks did not match because:

1. At least one of the Knick players was resentful of Lin.
2. James Dolan felt betrayed.
3. Grunwald actually thinks Felton is better than Lin, and convinced Dolan the same.
4. Jeremy Lin pleaded not to be matched.

so if they feel betrayed we're gonna let him go to houston like he wants? how does that make any sense? if knicks are mad at lin, match his deal... then trade him to toronto or something. no reason to just let him walk. it doesn't make basketball or business sense. if the knicks keep lin the guard depth is great. if not all it takes is one injury to felton and we got that euro and kidd as the only pgs...

lin must be matched... then we can figure out what to do with him later.

Maybe he never 100% said he wanted to leave ,but never gave 100% commitment he's staying ..maybe during that dinner the Knicks tried to convince him & get a 100% commitment ..Maybe it was a "sure I'll come back u guys gave me a opportunity , but i wanna test the market & you guys can match the offer" it was all cool than he renegotiated contract with the poison pill & pissed the Knicks off..I dunno i just guessing

This.

so you would rather lose Amare & Shump over Lin??????

U R Bugging my friend this man crush thing is going to far

At least with Lin, if it didn't work on the court, you could have put together an attractive package using Lin + Amare or Shump or someone else to get another piece that may work. Now you don't have that. What a waste.

Don't be too pleased by the fact that we have Tyson, our linsanity starting 5 was:

Tyson
Jeffries
Walker
Fields
Lin

So I fully expect Dolan to make some kind of Diop+Kemba for Tyson trade any time soon... #notsureifseriousanymore

Those Greek scrubs aren't real assets. They were thrown in's who will likely never play and contribute.

We gave up 3 second round pick-equivalents too. I think we gave up like 7 second-round picks this offseason, to along with Lin, Fields, Harrelson, and Jeffries.

That's how a real superstar does it - no comment. Pay attention Melo. If you don't open your mouth then you don't have to backtrack later on your stupid comments.

You should have just gone with "moocowIsMyHero". People would have been able to relate to that much better. Next time.

Why is it the only new york team "the knicks" this **** happens too, i'm tired of hearing about dolans feelings.
