JVG would probably hate JR lol...but I think he'd be great for Shump.

Woody deserves a ton of props for what he did with Melo and JR as well as Cope...Cope has REALLY improved.

that's the thing though, i don't think any coach could have done anything better then turning jr smith into a legitimate second option. it took an extreme level of patience to get there too. what could trump that accomplishment ?

LOL, Magic made Bill Simmons feel stupid real quick. Simmons was bringing up useless historical stats about only a certain number of teams winning 66 plus games. He then went on to say that not even Magic won 66 plus games in a regular season. Magic retorted by saying he didn't have to and pointed to how many rings he had. [/End of conversation.]

That was funny.

Magic also stirred the pot by saying Dwight better get this team to the playoffs, otherwise he needs to walk.

I agree with that 100%.

A legit second option?

I have no clue.

Obviously Coach Pop & Phil Jackson come to mind as coaches who could mold JR into a better player, but a better player AND a second option I don't think they would've even tried to do that.

Woodson truly deserves a lot of credit. Only problems I had with Woody was his playcalls, his adjustments & the amount of minutes he would give Melo, Tyson and others at a time.

Now that we're in April I can honestly say I've seen a difference in everything. His adjustments look very good, I like how he mixes up the small ball lineup with the 4 guard lineup. Also I don't know if he was doing this all season and I wasn't paying attention but the Spread PnR along with the pick & pop looks tremendous.

Wonder if anyone is complaining about Miami playing their big three in a meaningless game?

To be fair though...I wouldn't play them that ridiculous amount of minutes this late...but there's no way I just bench my stars. Manage their minutes better? Sure.

The coaches dont call the shots when it comes to their stars.

Miami's guys want this game, it's personal, Spo wont take them out unless it's out of hand scorewise.

Amazingly, Boozer got more trouble than Nate. Nate's play was dirty as hell, Boozer's was pretty clean.

Same. Dwight has no excuses anymore. With Kobe out he's the main guy on that team right now.
