Maybe two if the Celtics pushes the Knicks limits.

No but I see a Lee and a pick for Reggie Jackson type of trade as frightfully possible.

Yes, more highlights!

Some of you guys are ridiculous. Tim Hardaway Jr. does one thing well and that's score. He can't rebound, he can't shoot FTs, he's a 35% 3-point shooter, he can't defend, he can't pass the ball.

But yeah, more highlights!

I think it's 50/50 that Atlanta matches.

I also think that THjr will continue to improve. He's a good kid and he works hard... like his dad.

Not gonna lie. THJr can be real good. Like really good. But that contract is awful as of right now. HUGE risk. If the Knicks deal Carmelo + Lee it'll be a decent move. If we do trade Melo. Tim will average 18+ ppg. Then sign Mack for tank purposes and then...

Frank - Mack - Baker
THJr - Dotson
Kuz - LT
KP - KOQ
Willy - Noah

One of those highlight videos against Cleveland dudes were saying Hardaway was about to get paid. They weren't wrong lol.

Your not forced to trade him? You could slide him over to the 3 once Melo is out the picture, and a productive 2-way player on a decent contract is definitely worth a first rounder. I mean look at the previous post with people saying Celtics should get a first for Smart/Crowder/Bradley but they technically HAVE to trade for it. I could see a team like the Spurs, Clippers trading for him.

Would any team believe that they would need to trade a 1st rounder for Lee after they gave Hardaway that deal with a trade kicker? Even the Hawks - a good organization - were thinking $45M for THJ.

Yes, a playoff team definitely would. You're not getting a lotto pick but a future first or late first rounder. The Hardaway deal is inflated but not as bad as everyone is making it seem. I don't believe the smokescreen of Atlanta was going to pay "around 45 mill" When they gave bazemore basically the same contract as THJR.

What if our new President didn't want THJr for the next 4 years with a trade kicker?

We should get a new President and an actual plan in place before we make moves like this. I just didn't see the rush, especially when we already have a starting SG and the only PGs we have are essentially rookies.

"It would not be surprising to see a team give him an offer in the neighborhood of four years/$75 million, the same figure that Allen Crabbe drew this past summer. That number is a bit high but could be a better value than the contract that the Hawks gave to Kent Bazemore (four years/$70 million) before this season.

Realistically, Hardaway Jr.’s value is probably closer to the four years/$60-$68 million, for an average annual value of $15-$17 million. That would be a good number for the Hawks given that he is just now entering his prime at age 25."

ugh i hate that i feel i have to defend him now. hardaway jr is a good player but this is a bad and ill-timed contract if we don't move melo AND lee. even then it's still probably a bad contract with all the provisions we made so to deter the hawks from matching.

he compliments frank's game more then people are willing to admit. i don't think people are 100% familiar with all of frank's game yet.

but let's stop bringing up g-league all-star justin holiday. i still don't miss him and he's still a bum.

you're really going to compare us to a team that hasn't had a first round pick since jesus ascended into heaven? you're going to have a victim complex over the **** nets?

Didn't I just say it's obviously a different situation. This is a bad deal regardless who offers it, including the nets. But narratives change because it's the Knicks

Hayward always played defense and knew how to position himself. Hardaway is a brainless chicken on defense.

Is he? How many games of his did you watch last season?

Since you have absolutely no means of verifying whatever I answer I give you, I don't think it really matters how many games I've watched, rather he was a poor defender in the games I did watch and have not seen anything to contradict that conclusion.
