Yes, and being a rapist is quite the shortcoming.
This is probably my favorite post that I've read today. Short and sweet, and it cracks me up.

I saw Christ in a vision and he said I love you while on the Cross. At that moment, I understood that he was dying to everything I was (all the Sin of my human life) so I could become everything he IS (a Son of God , having the Spirit of God, God's nature itself!)
Got back with my wife 3 weeks later because she saw an entirely new man filled with the Holy Spirit. We have 4 kids now.
God didn't just forgive some of our Sin on the Cross but ALL our Sin. He is an amazing God.
The reality of becoming a Son of God is why Christ was born of a Woman. He became the Son of Man so we could become Sons of God!
That's a great post, and I've never quite sunk to the depths that you talked about, I've had moments and I'm a bit unusual in that I'm both religious and scientifically inclined.
I want to point something out to you, that maybe you can hear, maybe you can't.
God is great.

Trump is a horse's ass.
It's not about whether he can be forgiven for the stuff he's done. According to the bible I read, he can. But please don't vote to put that selfish pig in office. You're cheering for Pontius Pilate

Trump prevails through lies.
So, if Trump prevails through Christ, does that mean Christ = lies?
I'd be careful making connections between the lord and the most dishonest president we've ever had. Just a suggestion.
I understand that many Christian voters love that Trump got Roe v. Wade overturned, and for that reason, many Christian voters vote republican for that same reason. But the simple truth is that Trump is a big fat liar and a criminal and he's the most unethical and self-serving president I've ever seen.
Do you disagree? Do you think Trump is honest and moral?
Faith gives us the righteousness of Christ for we all fall short of the glory of God.

It's not even about not liking the candidates but, for someone to suggest I'm crazy or stupid or I don't know how elections are run is ridiculous and ignorant.
They had plenty of time to find viable candidates and mount a strong defense against this madman. They tried to be cute and let a man pushing 82 years old run for office when he was CLEARLY losing steam the last year or more. Now we have all of this baggage to overcome to try and stop this lunatic. Plenty to be upset with.
My OP wasn't even that harsh. It felt like I was dealing with another cultist attitude just for speaking my mind when I made it abundantly clear that I am still voting for her no matter what happens. I only hope everyone else feels the same.
I don't think this is a "they", I think this was Biden. If you want to criticize Biden for deciding to run and then, after wining the primary, opting out, then, you're 100% right. There's a lot to criticize Biden over this.
Did the party do it? I don't think the party had any control over this. Biden chose to run and won the primary, then he sucked in the debate and dropped out 10 days later. It's not like the party can force a candidate out. They can make their preferences known, but they couldn't force Biden to not run.
Really? They should have told him it was in the best interests of the party and the country that he doesn't seek a second term. His decline didn't pop up three weeks ago or even three months ago. It has been happening since he won the last election.

Or maybe you are there is a separation of church and state here. All these people so high and mighty claiming god and the constitution and guns never severed but talk a mean game. Except when it comes to facts.
Do not enforce your religious beliefs on everyone else pretty simple respect everyone and their beliefs.
When Maga starts blaming everyone else for their issues maybe it is time to look in the mirror and accept you are part of the issue and not the solution.
"Separation of Church and State is a phrase that refers to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The phrase dates back to the early days of U.S. history, and Thomas Jefferson referred to the First Amendment as creating a “wall of separation” between church and state as the third president of the U.S. The term is also often employed in court cases. For example, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black famously stated in Everson v. Board of Education that “[t]he First Amendment has erected a wall between church and state,” and “[t]hat wall must be kept high and impregnable.”

How do you know they didn't? After the debate, the calls became public, but how do you know that many didn't say privately to him "Please don't run". Because we don't have access to what was said behind closed doors, I don't think it's fair to speculate.
Are you made at democratic senators and leaders of the party for not publicly going against Biden? That's handing Trump ammunition. That's not the kind of thing any respectable democratic politician would say publicly, but you don't know what was said in private.
I think this is all on Biden, not on the party. I think it's revisionist to think "they should have said something publicly" when Biden announced he was running for a 2nd term.
Now, in Biden's defense, I think knowing when to retire is a hard thing to know. Biden also had moments. Yes, he was showing decline for some time, but he also had a strong state of the union, and I would argue, he's had a successful presidency.
and a lot of us knew that a vote for Biden might mean Harris becomes president before the term is up.
I understand what you're saying, but I think it would have been very hard for the party to say what you wanted them to say publicly.

Yes. There is never to be a national church. Satanists have lied and now claim that Christian morality has no place in society as they force Satanism down everyone's throat by force.
Someone's morality will be the law of the land. If the evil of atheists/Satanists is the law, you end up with hell on earth.

A lot of people think that, but I disagree.
Many Democratic and liberal programs and ideas are very much in line with Christianity. Feed the poor, shelter the homeless, care for the sick, love thy neighbor. These are fundamentally Christian ideas.
I think the democratic party is the more Christian party. They have worse press, and the abortion issue turns off too many, but they're still more Christian overall.
As a religious person, I have a hard time telling someone who's not religious, that they cannot have an abortion. I can try to discourage them, but to pass a law that forbids it. That's not Christian to me.

Hey. Thank you for being comfortable enough to share your story. You have been through a lot. I'm glad you're here man.
My mother is a devout Christian. She dragged me to Church every Sunday until I was 18. I respect your faith and belief. I am agnostic myself.
But I will challenge you here. Donald Trump is not a follower of Christ. Nor does his actions and behavior follow in the path of Christ. He has no remorse for his past actions. He is using people of faith as a stepping stool to keep himself out of prisons for the dozens of crimes that he is currently pending trial for. He stokes the flames of hatred and violence for his personal gain. That is not what Jesus Christ stands for.
He is using you.
