That is my biggest concern towards Frank. I am afraid he is too sensible and smart to excel in NBA. He worries about not getting hurt and avoid trying to pass with a ball between giants. He is too normal...

To excel in NBA, you have to have a kind of "suicidal instinct" and not care like running into moving walls. You have to be irresponsible with your own body and enjoy taking hits. You have to be kind of a stupid.

So players that succeed in the NBA are stupid, but Frank might be too smart to make it? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?

To excel in NBA in guard position you have to get used to taking hits, to colide with really strong and fast players.

You have to be really brave. And everybody who is really brave is kind of a stupid. You have to turn off that part of your mind whitch tells you that driving to the basket is too risk and you can be seriously hurt if you miscalculated.

In Other words, I think Frank is almost so coward than me and the average Joe...

As a french dude, the best exemple is Tony Parker ! He was number 1 scorer inside for 10 yrs as a PG ! NBA nowadays you gotta create some space for you to shoot, but also (mostly now) you gotta create space to go asap and efficiently to the basket !
Frank has to go to a Rec Center for yoga sessions

Frank is too sane, which is why I switched my avatar and allegiance to the obviously unhinged Iggy.

I think frank will be fine. But he’s a role player. And role players have bad games where they do nothing in certain categories.

He needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end, that's irrefutable at this point. He doesn't have to hoist up 15 shots a game, just get into the paint and try to make something happen rather than sitting outside in the perimeter.

The offense last season had many plays where he'd have to give up the ball after crossing half court- the good ol' dump passes to a wing player. I'd like to see him in many more pick and roll situations from the top of the key once he advances the ball from the backcourt and try to make a play either for himself or for his teammates through drive and kick or PnR situations. I still believe he'd work well in the backcourt with either DSJ or Barrett, he just needs the reps to hopefully build his confidence level up. I know it's been spoken about ad nauseum but he's still so very young and he seemingly has had the shortest leash of any of our young guys, especially last season. Knox didn't accrue DNP's like Frankie did even though Knox' shot selection was horrific, barely passed the ball and didn't give any effort on the defensive side.

At least with Frank you know what you're getting on the defensive end. It'll be there every game and that alone should make him a valuable commodity since he's surely the best perimeter defender this team has and arguably they're most versatile one. I still have hope in him but with Fizdale being in love with aggressively offensive players, Frank's going to have to force the situation a bit more this season if he wants to see more consistent minutes.

I hope he has a good bounce back game in the tournament and hopefully his confidence will keep growing and continue over to the NBA season.

that's the big question

Some basic aspects of the game Frank is still learning how to play. Imagine if we could give Franks body size to Zo.

Zo's aggression with Frank's body size and discretion, you say?
